I knowww this is old but wondering if you ever had to take the pump off again? I work with 3m 4000, 4200 and 5200 regularly and although 4200 is "removable", with enough surface area ive pulled chunks of fiberglass out of hulls.
just had the same thing happen to mine this weekend. You said a 'newer" version of the gear. do you have a part number or location where I should purchase mine?
@@QuadStar721 It is. I noticed you had some sealant on the inside that didn't look like it was from factory and then I realized you did a cooling upgrade.
This is more then 1 year ago..it is sat least 3 years ago...me and the EX are at 3:23 till 3:49 in the middle with my Red white and Blue shirt /quad and her pink hoody and black quad
Good video, I am 90 percent sure mine went out, was at the lake yesterday ran good for the 1st lap. Then bam took a crap on me. Made it back to the marina slow and when I gave it gas it shook bad, so slow and easy back to the dock. Did you have about the same experience?
I had this exact experience with a 2023 fx svho. It would idle fine but shake BAD under throttle. Turns out the wire pin INSIDE my injector connector was broken. 40 hours on my ski when it happened.
I have a Yamaha FX SVHO it only runs up to 6k rpm and I don’t hear or feel the supercharger. I changed air filter oil spark plugs do you think that it is the clutch that has failed? After about an hour of riding the supercharger turns on and holds but it needs a while before it can turn on and still won’t always stay on. Thanks
@@AlboboyzSounds like your supercharger clutch could be slowly going out. Mine went instantly when I was on the water. So slightly suspect for yours. Try messaging Jerry or his son at www.4-tecperformance.com Boys at Riva Racing could help too
Yeah my 2014 SVHO FX cruiser with 289 hours on it. Took it out and had very little power. Felt like limp mode and even limp mode felt slower. I got back to shore slowly now it’s getting diagnosed. Feels like a bad supercharger.. starts up right away ..no knocking or horrible noises..other than it seems a vibration from S/C area
Compre un blow off valve tambien pa montarlá

Muchas gracias!
Hey my friend, I am looking to put those spark plug on my 21 Yamaha FX cruiser SVHO and I like to know what are you honest opinion about this spark plugs if it’s worth it
@@QuadStar721i have read that the adapter has "rev hang", off throttle situations there is a slight delay. Do you experience that? Would you recommend tapping the manifold or the adapter. I am taking off the manifold for the ribbon delete, either way works. I just want the best recommendation from experienced techs. Please help.
What a great DIY video on this repair man! Question for you. When you pull the rubber hose off of the front of the supercharger and spin the blades on the SC fan are those supposed to be able to spin left and right freely or does the clutch prevent it from spinning in one direction if the clutch is good?
Have the identical ski, with a very similar performance set up. Clutch just went out while on the local river last night. Was hopping to do this over the winter but the time has come. Appreciate the video, very easy to follow. Pumped to get the new one installed and get back out!
Bloody hell that blue looks amazing.!! Why are the jetski trailers in the northern hemisphere so small? Have a look at the basic jetski trailers made in australia. Those things must be so rattley
Nice video, I got a 2023 year model. I’m pretty sure it’s the clutch. When your clutch was failing did you notice it being difficult to start up in the water? Basically didn’t want to start because it wasn’t making enough boost if that makes sense.
Thank you! When mine failed it was wide open throttle and failed very suddenly. It did start right up with the only issue being the power loss. Like so slow🐢🐢🐢 I know Yamahas occasionally have a tough time starting after they warm up.. Have you tried new spark plugs yet.
No I haven’t put new sparks plugs in. I thought it was the battery since it has Slow engine crank to it. I normally change my spark plugs at 10 hours intervals and I’m already at around 65 hours on engine. The plugs might be 5 hours over, I’ll give that a try. But even when it cranks and runs my blow off valve doesn’t sound the same as before like it doesn’t get enough air. I will change the spark plugs and see what that does. If that doesn’t fix it I will take the air filter off to get access to the inlet of the supercharger to see if I have any back spin. If I know the supercharger to spinning both ways thens it’s the clutch.
Well I changed the spark plugs and the battery still doing the same thing. Took it out today, drove for 30 minutes, and hopped in the lake. When getting back on the ski wouldn’t start. I tried starting it a hand full of times, after the 4th time it finally cranked, but weak. I believe its the starter now. You think a bad starter could cause performance issues as well?
Exact thing happened to mine sunday. Had my hero 11 suctioned on with a floaty on my sxr1500. It fell off while riding and never floated back up. I call gopro about it, and out come was they replaced the floaty and suction free of charge but i had to purchase another gopro
