i grew up in Lancaster and use to play it while doing my laundry while away at college to remind me of home, however i never went back -landed for many years in California loved it !
The touring musicians of this band were amazing. Dan Hamilton had been playing guitar since he was 12 and played many years with The Ventures, was a virtuoso guitarist on par with Tedesco or Campbell, and was part of the precursors of instrumental surf music in the 60s, but having passed away young, before the arrival of the internet and without the necessary publicity, few give him the deserved recognition for being one of the best male voices in history and a great composer. On the other hand, there was Gene Pello who recorded and produced the records, and Judd Hamilton who recorded the last album also with Tommy Reynolds, an amazing multi-instrumentalist who retired to devote himself to religion, and Joe Frank Carollo who was a great drummer and bassist, deciding to dedicate himself to bass throughout his musical career, with a great talent for playing blues and funk. By the way, they recorded the last album of The T-Bones. Then Dan, Tommy, and Joe Frank formed "Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds", proving to be musicians of great musical quality, they left Dunhill in pursuit of creative freedom, and finally in 1975 Dan Hamilton was able to demonstrate his compositional and vocal ability with the album Fallin' In Love, an amazing symphonic pop/rock work that they could reproduce live with the same quality and perfection as in a recording studio.
Wooooowww!!
Heard this on the radio soooo long ago and could never find as didn’t know the name just could hum it then one day popped up in my feed - so glad I found you little song
I'm always amazed at their songwriting. There are a lot of people who can write clever melodies. Why were the Beatles so special. I think it's the way their songs capture a feeling that can't be explained by music theory. It's something you can't teach in music theory.
Badfinger sadly no longer around a truly great band I heard they were nearly as great as The Beatles. Miss there 3 popular songs to me anyway. BABY BLUE (MY FAVOURITE) Followed by DAY AFTER DAY and NO MATTER WHAT which was covered by Def Leppard
