@@ericturcotte3131 (I write from France) I would like to listen to other kinds of pedals. I think there is too much drive and fuzz. I'm looking for different and new types of chorus, flanger, ...
Yes, there are a lot of great options for octaver but not that much for pitch shifting. I really love the EBS octabass. I am currently working on a huge Octaver shoutout btw !
Not really! It's actually a game changer, (especially for live performances), and the sound quality is not affected if it is used within the first 3 semitones.
Even though Ive decided that I dont need a chorus, the EarthQuaker pedal, the Walrus Julia and the Aguilar Chorusaurus (when working 😬) sounded best to me
This is one of my all time favorite circuits. The variety of drive textures available at the turn of a knob is really nice. The designer, Gillaume, was even kind enough to give some tips to DIYers in forums.
Is this the same pedal that is referred to as the Millennium Barbershop and/or the Barbershop V2? It’s not specific for bass though, right? And yet it sounds amazing!
Keeley makes a really nice compressor. Very transparent. I use it to just tame my peaks. Very easy to dial it in. Set the amount of compression you want, set the threshold (watch the light and when it kicks in) and then adjust the Gain. Super easy.
How useful would this pedal really be in a live situation given how much of a huge bass boost is present in the drive channel? Are you able to find a good setting of the EQ that works well with the drive engaged and disengaged?
This is probably the first compressor demo I have ever heard that actually matches the effected and clean volume levels and switches back and forth so you can hear what the effect is really doing, rather than just 'louder is better'.
Great demo! I don't hear any difference and the bird doesn't seem to either! I use a JDI and was considering the Neve RNDI but I don't think I will notice any difference based on your video.
