This truck would be perfect here in the US! Small affordable electric urban vehicles are needed here too! We need BYD cars in the USA. My understanding is there could be basic city electric models that would sell as low as $3,000 to $8,000 dollars,,, I live in an urban center in the Mid-West, we need these,,, and my understanding they are working on sodium batteries(lithium being harder to source and may be hard on the environment and politically causes conflict) I vote for no tariffs on Chinese e-cars imports, but we(USA), as a nation should do some quantitative easing(producing extra money) to get more development funds to companies like Tesla and other American electric vehicle providers, so we all can have affordable e-cars, e-onewheels, e-bikes/motorcycles, e-trucke and e-mass transit! Bring BYD into the US tariff free(help them pass our safety standards rules), but also pour money into our own(US made) clean vehicle industry too, so we can be world class too!! More clean mass transit as well!
@BYDGlobal, A typical Lithium/LiPo battery's charge can be estimated based on its voltage: - At 4.15 volts, the battery is nearly fully charged, around 95-98% - The nominal voltage of a Lithium/LiPo battery is 3.7 volts, which corresponds to about 50% charge - At 3.3 volts, the battery is significantly discharged, around 10-15% I've noticed a significant issue during the test. The standard NCM Lithium Battery was charged up to 4.16V, which is approximately 95-98% of its capacity. In contrast, the BYD Blade Battery was only charged to 3.34V, which is about 10-15% of its full capacity. This discrepancy in BYD Blade Battery is expected to result in lower heat generation when penetrated by a nail. However, it's puzzling that the voltage didn't drop significantly. Could this be due to the use of a non conductive (non-metal) nail with highest resistance?
My personal understanding: for maintaining electric cars, the most important thing is to make sure all terminals ,wires, filters, ventilation parts, and radiators free from being covered by debris (dust, bugs, animal waste, dirty water splash, etc.) and look for anging wires and cables to be replaced. CPUs and other chip components are very durable as long as being protected from water and UV light. The maintenance require special mechanic's and electrician's tools (not as complicated as for internal combustion cars since there is no transmission needed) will be replacing and lubricating bearings/shafts/suspensions/etc. and and balance the battery units.
