I have the opportunity to buy the Rubicon 6 from an audio store that had them as demos in the shop. I would pay 2500 euros, which is 50% of their official price. Would you recommend buying them used from a dealer store? Thanks!
Audio Experience is an authorized dealer for Dali too, but we are in CT, USA. it's totally up to you regarding what is more important to you - new with warranty or used without warranty and at a discount. either way they're incredible speakers !

unfortunately not as Audio Experience is not currently a dealer of Rotel products so other than provide you a comparison of specs (which of course i'm sure you already know since you're shopping multi channel amps) i won't be of much help...biggest thing for me at least is that the Anthem amps are made in Canada where Anthem is located whereas Rotel is made in China despite being a Japanese company. if you're open to multi channel amps by marantz / NAD / Anthem please get in touch! 203-808-6991
i have the L600s which are of similar weight . i placed furniture glides under the feet . this allowed me to easily slide them around to find the optimal listening position for my room . when satisfied with the position you want , just remove the glides . i left my glides in place so i could clean more easily . i can move the speakers with only one hand .

if you had an opportunity to experience this subwoofer for yourself you would have a different opinion i can assure you. but if it's budget / bang for buck you're chasing then sure this isn't the right product for you. what the sub 2 does is objectively provide the highest SPL output, deepest bass, most powerful continuous power subwoofer in the smallest footprint available and does so while subjectively having the highest aesthetic value of any other subwoofer on the market to boot
I know this isn't the newest video but hoping you still watch them for comments. I was looking into XLR connections for subs and assumed this would have them but obviously it doesnt. Is XLR old school and no longer needed/desired or another reason they didn't include it on this model? Not a deal breaker. Just curious.

thanks! those are the Rubicon 6 Black Edition - excellent speakers ! the LS60W is a totally different speaker to the opticons so personally I would not be shopping them as an "upgrade" per se but rather if you want to simplify your setup and also integrate HDMI eARC then they're a great choice! if you'd like to purchase the KEF's I'd be glad to help you out 203-808-6991
@@audioexperience I can definitely see the draw of an all in one. Just got an NAD master series and it’s such a treat compared to separates. Get straight to the music and stay in there! Will definitely reach out if the KEFs are the route.

*UPDATE* in case any of you were wondering why these are no longer available on shopaudioexperience.com we have since decided to cease sales of all of the EQUI (WIRELESS) versions of DALI speakers due to persistent issues with respect to interference of their wireless audio signal. the reason for this is due to the high quantity and variety of existing wireless signals running through the modern home. instead, the recommendation would be to simply go with the standard (wired) versions of these speakers unless you are willing to troubleshoot a workaround if you encounter such interference to your audio signal. thank you !
for sure! we're KEF dealers as well but the barrier to entry in a like kind format of floor standing is nearly double the cost of these at 4k/pr. so it's an entirely different price point
hi scott despite MANY other brands being this way, i’ve never heard kef to be bright - i can only guess it was paired with something to overemphasize the highs and even likely had them boosted via eq kef are extremely neutral with almost anything they’re paired with

Trying to decide between the 80 and 100f. Heard them both and preferred the 100, little concerned about having too much bass in my living room. Plus it is a living room, so the 80s may “fit”better.
what did your dealer have to say? this is something that they should be giving you insight into deciding if you were my client that would be 100% part of the conversation
@@audioexperience Dealer felt the 80 would be a better fit for my NAD M28. Due to the 80 being warmer than the 100. He felt the purifi amp might be to cool with 100. Paradigm direct was very enthusiastic about the 100. Lol. Problem with speakers is they take time to break in and get used to. I started to like my 40b better after a couple weeks.
@@MasterofPlay7 can't say - personally was never a fan of the bright sound that is (or was) klipsch - i've heard they've been making strides away from that aspect as of late
the polks are more dynamically capable but the dali's would be more capable of communicating detail - if you'd like to upgrade the ikon 6 to anything dali or polk please get in touch and i'd be happy to help find something for you !
yeah depends on what you prioritize - marantz and denon are the simplest but they don't perform as well as the anthems - i'm a dealer for almost all of them so no dog in the fight really. anthems are meant to be purchased from a dealer vs. the others are more consumer level also is another comparison.
Remember that the Rubicon 6 cost 4k in Europe. I'm saying that because that's the real price range to compare them. For 7k you're almost in Epicon territory and that's quite a step up again.
so wild right?! probably the best value in hi-fi or close to it ! as a dealer of Dali products, the most expensive is not necessarily the best - in my honest opinion having heard them if upgrading from rubicon 6, i would not go epicon 6, rather i would go to rubicon 8 first and then straight to epicon 8 if budget allows.
The greatest deal I ever helped myself to was Best Buy sold me the AudioQuest - Rocket 44 12' Pair Bi-Wire Speaker Cable, Silver Banana Connectors for $439.98. They corrected the price a few weeks later. I bought 2 x pairs for $980.57. The most beautiful cables and connectors I have ever seen connected to white B&W 706 S2 speakers on steel stands.
@@audioexperience I love your work with the audio quest connectors and the crimping on bulk AQ wiring. If own B&W(s) or KEF(s) bookshelf on stands you owe yourself (and spouse) a favor to use AQ cables to connect them to the processor, integrated whatever. The beauty and stability the add to biwire speaker rears is just so amazing. You will stay mesmerized to your speaker arrangements and sound for hours.
@@audioexperience100% agreed. I think the confusion lies in that he has both at the same time. Seems that the Polks were already there giving the impression that the customer didn’t like them and was replacing them with the Paradigms.
here's my take...for the price, the JTR is an unreal performer, however it's a massive unsightly box. i would not consider it under any circumstances to be used in any application other than behind an AT screen. by comparison, the paradigm despite being very expensive, is the smallest AND the most powerful sub on the market that i'm aware of while being super sexy - it can go anywhere with how good it looks and how small it is sub 2 ±3 dB 9Hz - 260Hz 4500w continuous w/ 9000w peak 230lb. 24.5" × 23.75" × 22.375" 4kulf ±3 dB 10.5-125hz 4000w continuous 265lb. 41″ x 20.5″ x 39.5″

I was thinking either b&w 800 series, McIntosh, sonus, arendal, or kef flagship speakers. I would throw in focal but they don’t have atmos as far as I’m concerned cuz I jus found out b&w does a few days ago

an AVR under a grand is going to be a consumer level budget device simply because of how many things it has to do to fit that price point. more power does not always equal more expensive, nor does it necessarily equate to higher performance, that's for sure.

@@audioexperience here is video from SUB2 in action? :) btw. Do you know the Spec of Tech YT channel where the owner tests the most powerful subwoofers on the market? But he couldn't get SUB 2 for testing because so few distributors have SUB 2 in their company. :(
I totally agree with you the paradigm persona are so bright and edgy it's not even funny that beryllium tweeter and mid-range made my ears bleed, I personally own and love the monitor audio platinum 200 ll, that MPD Tweeter is so natural and three-dimensional sounding I love the sound of the speakers.
totally - the persona's NEED a mellow amp like mcintosh, classe, prima luna, marantz, anthem, etc. and then they're absolutely stunning. FWIW, i'm a paradigm dealer and i don't recommend them with anything else unless folks have a legitimate hearing impairment where there's a loss of high end hearing in which case you'll need to compensate by adding some sizzle lol
i haven't heard the A5 but just remember that any speaker can sound VERY different depending on its amp pairing and/or the room, among other lessor factors so it's quite difficult to make a final statement but if you hear both speakers in the same room on the same equipment then that's a much better scenario and what's even better than that is hearing in your own room on two different amp types such as tube and class d etc. but to my ears i'd take rubicon over A3 and/or S3 MK2 any day for any price
@@audioexperience one of the thing that makes the Magicos so good is they sound good with so many amps, they sound amazing with Boulder, Gryphon, luxman, constellation, solution, McIntosh even sounded amazing with the Dynalab Md309
that's a bummer - 20+ years is quite impressive though for longevity especially for such an inexpensive amp such as anthem if you need anything let me know
Hey I had to replace one of plugs because it came defected from the factory--how do I know if I have a connection with the copper wire hitting the inside of the plug? Would I notice a distortion in sound or lower frequency?
