Tbh I think Penny was a genuine friend to them. She hung out with them not just cause she could freeload but she considered them to be her friend. Otherwise why would anyone tolerate Howard’s creepiness.
Interesting people say Penny is the same. Penny doesn't really flirt with them or drop superficial comments in order to get them to do stuff for her. Their personalities clashed so hard in the beginning. But over time she tolerated, then respected, then appreciated and even loved them. She hasn't come across as the type that just is around them to see what she can get from them. Alicia is a grade A manipulator. Always looking for what she could get out of people because she knew she was attractive and felt that that was all she needed. And people with the personality traits of the four might be taken in by that. Minus Sheldon maybe. Sure Penny got free stuff off them but any of them could go to her in good faith for help. Sometimes they annoyed her too much so she didn't want to help but still
Here is the difference between them: Penny is genuinely the guys friend, she got to know them, hang out with them and helped them on multiple occasions. And Alicia well, she didn’t do any of that.
I'm glad Penny stood up for them, she was different, she never got the guys to go into her apartment and do her chores or stuff like that, which she could have done if she wanted. On the other hand Alicia knew exactly what she was doing, so they were not the same.

what penny does is the personification of all women in the world she says alicia is taking advantage of them and all alicia does is ask help to assemble furniture and stuff... while penny eat their food, use their wifi for and extended period of time... call that "consideration"?
No Sheldon, she's doing the whore dance on the bed which could be mistaken for sounding like she's jumping on the bed but in reality there are layers to that jumping that are beyond simply jumping on the bed.
