Honestly, I just bought two litter boxes from the dollar tree and drilled holes in one and used a small trash can liner.ess than $5 for rhe whole setup. These boxes are almost $60
Had watched the cattery lady’s video on this and just switched to pine pellets today, was using the regular breeze pellets and tray up til now. It felt AMAZING to throw those trays away once and for all, so liberating! 😅 no more stinky urine filled trays! Your idea of going diagonally with the pads is brilliant, I have some 21x21 pads left over and wanting to use those up, kinda small for this. But diagonal it’ll work so much better! Thanks!! Wolf, Calli, Lakota and Leo thanks you too 🥰 I had 2 cats, and just took in 2 more, so this is going to be so much cheaper, healthier, easier and less stinky!
I'm seriously thinking about this system and I'm also thinking about just flushing the poop into my toilet to eliminate the bags altogether. Has anyone tried to do this long-term?
Hey @rachellee.9389 thank you so much for watching our video, we appreciate the support. I'm not sure what type of sewer system you have but where I am from it is very frowned upon to put poo with bits of litter on it in the toilet. This is very known to back up, and damage sewer systems and cause flooding over time. I would hate for this to happen to you so I thought I would mention it :) .Even small bits! However, if your system that can handle it, that would be amazing! I hope you found something that works for you!
Thank you so much for being interested in the harness. We love the Easy Walk Harness for cats, a link is in the description of the video. We do not get sales or profits and we are not sponsored. I hope that helps, enjoy your walks because I know your fur baby will love them! :) Thanks for watching our video we appreciate the support.
Will they get habitual?? I have a cat and it has nerve problem due to which it bite its own legs and I really want to make it wear shoes. Will they wear ??
Yes, they can under normal circumstances, repeated practice and patience. However in your case, that's a tricky one. First, figure out what is causing this problem. Finding the route cause will be far more beneficial than just covering it. Talk to your Vet and see about anxiety meds or pheromone room sprays. If it is an incurable condition (compulsive disorder or Hyperesthesia), follow vet prescriptions and do more fabrics that breathe and change them often, stay away from latex or plastics. I hope you find a solution that works for both you and your fur baby! sending love and healing :) Thanks for watching!
@@RuetheSphynx I am from Nepal. I have taken my cat to the hospital many times but doctors does not answer what actually is happening with it. Here I think there are no advanced equipments to check the causes. She was actually half paralysed may be because it was hit by bike or fallen off from somewhere. It could not walk. But we worked hard to make her walk. And now she can walk, jump, do everything. But she does not have control over her toilet. She does not have sense when she needs to go for toilet. That is nerve problem. Doctors cannot make sure if she will be fully recovered. It becomes worse when she bites her leg and is unable to walk properly.
Pine is is not the way to go It absorbs the smells and it starts to stink very bad try this forget about the pads put another little pan on the bottom that'll collect the pee use the ceramic pellets breeze on the top When the pan gets full of pee on the bottom just throw it down the toilet wash the palettes that are on the top with salt water let them soak overnight Only with salt water Put them out in the sun After you drain the water so they'll recharge themselves And you can do this over and over and over and it's not going to cost you nothing make your own cat box two pans one small one one large ones one inside each other put a grat on of top go to the dollar store get a clear thin chopping square peace make some holes in it then put the pellets on the top you're good to go This is for all the cat lovers out there
Thank you for the great ideas, and suggestions! There are so many great ways to do this, and at the end of the day whatever works for you and your feline is the right answer. :) Thanks for watching!
I do use the breeze with pellets. And I sanitize them every couple of weeks and re use them and top off with a little bit of new pellets. In the bottom I use a puppy pad with pine pellets on top. Takes care of the odor much better than their expensive pads. Using pine pellets on top it doesn’t sift well, and the sawdust tracks . I have 7 cats inside, 3 breeze boxes and 2 pine pellet sifting boxes. Soon I will have all Breeze boxes. With puppy pads and pine pellets over the puppy pads. Much better odor control than their expensive pads. And holds much more urine too!
That’s also a great way of doing it! We have noticed puppy pads are way cheaper in pet stores in the USA. In Canada it’s nearly double the price. Thx for the great suggestions 😊
I don't buy cat toys any more--- I just order stuff I need and leave the boxes and packing lying the floor-- and my cats (3 of them) play with them til they wear them out- then I get rid of them and order something else I need.. :) Glad you did this fountain. I have one that is STAINLESS and love that-- because of the stainless-- I don't like mine drinking out of plastic. HOWEVER, my 1 year old rescue is a little Engineering student and he keeps taking it apart!!! :) I'm thinking of this one - because of the 3 spouts and maybe they aren't liking the stainless. (they DO drink a lot more from it than they did glass etc.)
Hahah great idea for toys. We have started making our own as well. Yeah we definitely will be trying stainless next. Your fur baby is so smart!! Engineering student had me laughing so hard. Thank you for your wonderful post and great suggestions 😁
@@RuetheSphynx Wanna hear anotehr? WEll I have a Canon MX922 printer. It would NOT work-- I tried everything- got the manual out and did ALL the suggested things-- got on line and did all I could find on there. Well, my little "engineer" cat got up there and was playing around on it.. and I was sitting here reading something- suddenly, I hear the printer WORKING!!! IT spat out several pages in que- and was working great... and I have NO idea what he did to it.. Maybe pushed the buttons in a certain sequence.. I don't know- but it WORKS..
Well it turns out my printer and I are not speaking right now…. Any chance I can hire him for the day? 😉🤣 That is just too cute! Rue thinks our printer (when working) is black magic and the paper coming out is here to hurt us. It’s a whole thing 🤦♀️
I've seen bOTH videos now-- and i'm debating on whether to order this-- if I can get the BIG one ( I have 3 cats).. or just find some good nesting boxes the right size and make one... I think I'll look around when I'm out tomorrow doing my shopping and errands, and if I can't find what I want-- I'll order the big one and just NOT use the tray thing. I'm going to be COMPOSTING the sawdust for my roses etc. later.. so I'm not concerned about all the other..
I hope you found what you were looking for! I have seen some people just use 2 storage bins too, they just drill some holes and make their own sifting box. If you're crafty, why not? Thanks for watching our videos @davidwayne9982. We appreciate all of your comments and support! :)
@@RuetheSphynx I did- works great-- but now to get them to USE it.. so far they sniff and walk around on it- but only ONE used it a couple times so far..
I F YOU ARE going to use PINE--- MAKE SURE it's KILN DRIED---- otherwise the pine oil could be DEADLY to your little beauty... and you want to give her the BEST life ever. FORGET the pads-- use a plastic bag liner and make a sifter box and just compost it (if you're in an apartment- make a flower box or a small boxed "garden" and use this as compost with your kitchen leftovers and egg shells-- makes GREAT fertilzer).
I had a GOOD solid METAL scoop from doing the clay this last few years.... it's all I'm keeping- Going to make a SIFTER box.. and put a liner in it-- and just compost it later..
That little "monster" is GORGEOUS... so sweet. I have 3 of them- and the DEMAND I come clean the box and area BEFORE AND AFTER every use. I saw the Breeze system- but I think I'll go wtih the sifting box and bedding pellets from Tractor Supply (40 pounds $5.99 ) and compost them-- no pads and all that crap.. IF I can get them adjusted to using it.. It was either that or teach them how to use the TOILET.. (which I was considering-- but since I have 3 and different ages- didn't think it would work well ).
Thank you so much! Tractor Supply is the best cost for the pellets, no doubt. Composting them is a great idea as long as you aren't using it on your edible plants. I'm hoping you found something that works for you and your 3 fur babies! Thanks for watching.
@@RuetheSphynx It's great for roses-- and as for the edible plants Perfect for those too-- and on farms all over the country- cow maneur is part of fertilizer.. It's nature's regroth material.. but ROSES are best- they get BIG and beautiful.. seem to last longer too.
I love the breeze pellets because they last FOREVER. The pine pellets do track and that is pretty much the point. Yes, expensive but if ur really hard up, they are plastic and can be rinsed (Ew, right) I only replace every 6 months and add to inbetween. Best invention EVER. I am taking u up on the puppy pad w/XL bottom pee catcher. That is absolutely BRILLIANT 👏 ❤😊
I'm so happy you found what works for you and your fur babies! cleaning the pellets is very common, and is a great alternative. Thank you so much for watching :)
ASAP! haha the sooner the better, I'm not joking. When they learn clicker training very young, their brain develops the learning tools and understanding of clicker training as a general guide (clicker means learning, figure out and doing the trick). Older cats, I find learn the trick but find it harder to understand the overall training language (clicker just means doing the trick to get what they want). It just takes them a little longer, and you need a little more patience. I hope you are enjoying your clicker training because I know your fur baby will LOVE it! Thanks for watching :)
Very late reply... Very easy!! You can dismantle the entire thing except the bottom and clean it in its flat form. It's amazing for small places that don't have a huge cleaning space like a tub or outdoor space. A lot of the other litter boxes are one gigantic piece, this is not. I hope this helps :) Thanks for watching!
very late reply... No, the vet said that it will eventually shake its way out. Also a bonus for you, warm up the fluid first and then its not so traumatic for them. :)
I have asthma induced by allergies and also need my puffer around cats. Interesting to hear she doesn't affect you like that because this is my last hope for a cat ownership lol.
Very late reply... Hey @ravenwoodfarms1957 to be very honest, I am still allergic to Rue. However my allergy to her is far less than furred cats due to having her since she was a kitten. I also found my allergy to cats in general has gone down a bit, but this is just in my case. Everyone is different. Things we compromised and started her as soon as she stepped her first paw in our home. She does not go into our bedroom, bathed when dirty, no carpets in the house or fabrics that can hold allergens (leather sofas), and changing out air filters frequently. Robot vacuums cleaning everyday. It is a lot of compromises but for me I knew I was willing to suffer. Knowing that I was going to suffer regardless and found ways to manage it, helped. For us there was no giving her up under any reasons including not breathing..... That is how bad we wanted her, but if your allergy is severe I would suggest meeting a sphynx first and spending the day. I hope this helps, and good luck!
very late reply.. I'm sorry your asthma is so bad when it comes to cats. I too have asthma and it was very difficult in the beginning. On a positive note, just in my case, I found my allergy has been slightly lowered due to being able to be close to Rue starting from a kitten (I would never do this with an adult cats, kittens don't get the allergen protein until a little older). Overall now I can be around other cats a little more, but my allergies are still bad. Good luck my friend and check out allergy sublingual drops for desensitization instead of the shots.
Rather than getting that diaper genie, a litter genie is smaller, and you'd throw out the poop more often, which IMO would be preferable. Would take at least a month for that to fill up with poop from my 2 cats!
My cat really wants to do outside walkies but the winter weather is really bad here, aloooot of snow. When she doesn't get her walkies she shits on my floor. But she also doesnt want to walk on the snow. But i'm afraid she'll really hate the boots and it won't work. But she does wear clothes witouth a problem so she's very convincable. But i just feel like even with the boots she'll hate going into the snow... Should i try still? I just want her to stop pooping on my floor and the ONLY thing that works is if she can go for her walkies
Very late reply, but yes they can get used to the boots depending personality and how you approach it. They are very smart! We found just offering Rue the opportunity to go outside when it was cold was enough to calm her frustrations. Open the door, let her feel the cold if you can, and they will either go out or turn back inside. use a consistent word like "its COLD outside" when the door is open and then soon they will understand why they don't get to go outside. When it becomes their choice it becomes more palatable (Think toddler brains :P). I hope this helps!
i have seven cats and am struggling to find a cost effective liter solution. currently I have one liter robot and three regular boxes using clay liter. I clean the box's out about three times a day or I have pee spots outside the boxes...even though the liter robot is clean!!!! I am going to try something like what she showed in the video, I've never tried pine pellets.... but any other ideas or tips are appreciated!
I know this was posted quite a while ago, but just wanted to mention that we use the Breeze (hooded) box, get the pine pellets at TS, and use the small green scoop to pick up the poo, let the pellets sift through the holes and then flush the poo down the toilet. We're very careful to not flush any pellets and haven't had any problems. We love that it reduced smell so much and is very easy to clean!
