DREMEL AND BITS: Dremel 4000-2/30 Variable Speed Rotary Tool Kit - 2 Attachments & 30 Accessories - Perfect for Cutting, Detail Sanding, Engraving, Wood Carving, and Polishing a.co/d/fsG8MnV Brccee AC 60 Pcs Diamond Burr Bits Drill Glass Gemstone Metal for Craftsman Rotary Tool 1/8" Shanks w/ Box Tip a.co/d/45vtVT1 Note: These bits often come in kits with duplicates because you go thru them so fast, even with experience and caution - they are not made to last years! Small bits will still try to walk but the marks they make are easier to remove than larger bits. For arthritic and similar conditions: Go to the hardware store and hold a Dremel like a pencil for a few minutes. Although Dremels have become lighter over the decades, they still become surprisingly heavy quickly and will strain your hands, wrists, and forearms so pay attention if your body says "enough" 😊

12 lbs. is a lot of rock. Did you start with just the two 3lb. barrels, or jump right into 12 lb.?

It's good to review all the older videos to learn the things you learned along the way, or simply to experience them for their entertainment value. Thanks for posting!

Omg, here we go with the music. My Dremel doesn’t play that god awful tune. It is super annoying.

Holy cow! This machine looks like it takes forever! I don't have 50 hours to spend on six rocks! I'd need like a row of 12 of those things running nonstop! Looks like I'll be sticking with the rotary flat lap indefinitely. This video was good for giving me the time perspective. Most people kinda gloss over that aspect of the machines. Thanks! The hands-off production is still very alluring...

It's a great video, which Dremel are you using and which size of bits, is this the smallest size? Thanks so much

This is The Video I needed. My husband tumbles beautiful stones and I would love to have a Tiger Eye necklace. I’m not in to wire wrapped jewelry. Thank you for such details! ❤

That’s not a flaw or a crack, it’s a vein of iron running through it.

Good video man. Suggestion, always give quick description of your equipment like your dripper. I’ve been looking to set up portable small dripper. Use to use roller clamp slides on my wine making tubing to control flow on ideas.

Nice work on your obsidian! I am about to tumble it for the first time and these videos and comments give good tips. Read up on Oregon obsidian if you haven't already. Little glass butte, an endless source of obsidian, has over 250 kinds of obsidian on the mountain. I find that completely mind-blowing. I didn't even know there was 250 kinds of obsidian! Gold sheen, purple sheen, red sheen, silver sheen, rainbow, snowflake, and FIRE (sorry, sports fans, all claimed up), the only obsidian that sells by the CARAT. Little Glass butte has it all. It's quite fascinating, actually. But maybe I just say that because I'm a geology nerd. 😂

Please stop with the excessive and redundant narrative to help reduce overall time of your video. Not interesred in seeing your inspection of 20 rocks. 4-5 would be perfect after each tumble stage.

Your mahogany obsidian turned out beautifully! Good job👏...After a long wait I'm finally going to run my mahogany, snowflake, and regular black obsidian! It took a while, but I finally received my Lot-O vibratory tumbler in the mail. I was on a waiting list for a while. No one had any...Can't wait to get started, too excited! 😎

Turned out good, nice video! I'm having a really hard time finding a Lot-O vibratory tumbler. Every place I call & online are sold out and don't have any Idea when they'll get them in. Any help finding one would be much appreciated!

Try using alumin oxide at 500 grit stage and above. Will increase "shine" on your rocks. BTW cerium oxide is great for glass and obsidian but not so for other materials. If you doubt this look at the ingrediant on glass range ceramic polish....You guessed it cerium oxide. GLASS or OBSIDIAN ONLY.

Do not use marker like Covington recommends in the manual. Marker will penetrate cracks & porous stones and stain them! Been there, done that. Instead use aluminum to mark your stones in a cross-hatch pattern. Aluminum gutter nails work great for this. They are also non staining.

@ROCKINWHEELERS

We are Disabled Seniors with our 47yr old SON who is a Tetraplegic. We are recent Rockhounds and Lapidary. Rosie wife of 49yrs is Tackling the Rotary and Vibratory Tumblers. it is a very fun Hobby, Off course very difficult to Rockhound due to Physical Condition and mainly the terrain. So, we rockhound around our neighborhood and at rock shows with our electric wheelchairs-hehehe. We are taking on the task of making the finds into Jewelry for our family, Rosies idea and I like it. We came across your You The Tube Video/Channel, lied it and subscribe and hit / slapped the Like Thumb.
