I'm really glad I found your channel. Been binging your videos and you have a really refreshing personality. I'm a second-generation Cambodian born in the west and always struggled with my sense of identity; these videos have given me more of a concrete idea what I want to do with my life now.
@@htoras_ just remember that if you ever come to Cambodia people here are very accepting of us khmericans and for the most part, empathize with the fact that we may not understand the culture or lifestyle there. Thanks for commenting, have a great day!

Thank you for sharing! I was in the countryside during the Khmer Rouge regime. I remember…I got lost from home about 6 months or maybe a year. During this time, I encountered a high ranking Khmer Rouge official. He has light skin and very polite young man. I asked him for a ride to Battambang and he granted my request. When I got to the gate of Battambang entrance. The guards there denied us entry into Battambang. The guards say that they were ordered to closed off the entrance and asked us politely to turn back. Hello there…whenever you are living now if you see this message. I wanted to thanks you for looking after me during that period in time. I’m sure you still remember me because it was a unique situation then. Please contact me if see this message.
Because there isn't a trash collection service in the rural areas. They burn the trash but sometimes not all is burned and trash get blown away into the water and surrounding landscape.
