I have a million projects. When I told my wife I was going to call my channel "Get It Done!" she laughed out loud. "What, I'm going to get it done. It's only been 17 years!" She laughed even harder then said, "and still counting!" Ok, ok, ok. I admit I might not be getting it done as fast as I want to, but I am making progress. This channel is dedicated to getting things done, that is, finishing the projects your working on. I watch RU-vid videos, talk to friends and experts, then read everything I can to learn how to finish my projects. I'm no expert. I'll show you my mistakes, as well as my successes.

I work on cars, remodel my house, and repair appliances. I'll review products and DIY videos. I'll show you how easy or hard it is and the lessons I learn. As a community I want to hear about your projects and especially, f you know better ways than I do to get it done.

Thanks a lot! My Toro lawnmower ran out of fuel and would not restart. I followed these easy steps and voila: it works again! Not only that, I impressed my wife too :) BTW I used a needle instead of carburetor cleaner.

We gave this a try. But the cutout for the part that allows access to the baking element was not stamped all the way through so we couldn't just pop it out. We tried drilling and dremeling and it was going to take a long, long time so we gave up.... :(

Super-sweet! I wasn't looking forward to pulling the whole carb, so finding the "Easy button" by just taking off the jet/bowl was outstanding! I may need to clean the whole carb to get it tip-top, but the improvement is easily 2-3 orders of magnitude by doing this 5-minute fix! I also really liked your "cheat" to tip the mower back instead of clamping the fuel line. So irritated at Toro for being so cheap as to not throw an in-line filter in there for me. The manual points to the fuel line and says "Optional" where the fuel filter should be. But adding that is a project for another day - AFTER I've mowed the hayfield! 😸

This video saved me a lot of money. Last year my mower (not a Toro, but similar enough) broke. It would start, it would not stay running unless I sprayed Starter Fluid in it; which indicated... something... wrong. Well, I took it to a shop. The shop said the Carburetor needed cleaning. I paid them $90 to do it. I got the mower home, it still did not work. I bought a mower without an engine on it, pushyboi, and used it despite my disability; made it hard. Worked last year, this year I could not keep up with growth. So I returned to trying to fix that mower. I had to cut and rip off the fuel line to access the fuel filter... you know what - it was a little dirty; couldn't have helped. I removed it and added an in-line fuel filter I can see through. Now I'll never worry about fuel ~ I can see it. I checked the Carburetor, all the pieces moved... ok... not the problem. When doing that, I noticed stickiness under the bowl... which led me to the gasket on it not seated properly; air infiltration was why it was not working. I opened the bowl and found out the Flote was not even installed, it was just chilling in there; so I also fixed that. I sprayed some Carb & Choke cleaner around, cleaned out the clean looking jets, put it all back together ~ it worked. Your video helped me do all that. THX!

On my mower there’s not enough room to get a socket on the jet. But I was able to use a box wrench to get it out. I cleaned it per these instructions and still have the same problem…it starts, runs for a few seconds, then quits. I’m at a loss as to what to do next…?

This process worked for a Whirlpool ET8CHMXKB05. The layout was slightly different (no removable bottom tray or ice maker) but the rest was exactly what I needed.

So, I would not have even tried this without watching your video. Lucked out getting the last baking element in stock at the local parts store and decided today was the day. Everything went pretty much by the numbers unitl it was time to remove the element itself. Easy peezy? Well, yes it iwas easy to pull out the half that was still intact. Unfortunately the other front half, with all the turns and bends was in several pieces and in some cases fused to the lower plate. Fortunately that sheet metal has some bend and my arms are pretty thin. I had to use a metal spatula from the outdoor grill and some oversized pliers to get the remaining pieces out. Added about a half hour to the project. However, once all the debris (at least most of it) was clear I was able to insert the new element, get all the king's horse and king's men to put LG back together again and - PRESTO! Working like a charm. Thanks Mark.😎👍

Quick question I have the weather maker 8000 not the 2speed like yours. I ordered the same limit switch like your using but mine is 170 cutoff I took out and replaced with 180 cutoff. Also the old switch had prongs horizontal and new 1 is vertical so I matched the back of the fuse and plugged in accordingly ran it everything worked fine , on and off. Do you think it's okay ? Thanks for any advice

I'm sorry. I'm not an expert. Like you, I fix things when they are broken. I'd call my local HVAC parts house, explain the situation, and ask them. The parts department of Dick Kearsley in Clearfield, Ut has helped me a thousand times. If you can't find anyone local, call them and see if the parts guy will help you over the phone.
