Thought Nikon had N-Raw before they acquired Red? Their Raw is designed from Tico Raw. That’s how they were able to prove they weren’t infringing on Reds Patent
Why is low light always an issue?! All this great tech and we still have this issue. I guess it is one of the camera/film industries greatest pawns, to keep us spending more money.
Are FUJI film simulations that great or better than anything else what others have to offer on the market or is this just overhyped by the FUJI fanbase? There was a VSCO package long ago available for Lightroom users which also had promised to look a lot like film.
Yes but most users are too lazy to use all the posiblities of a camera system. FUJI users are a great example. They think the film simulation presets are everything to make outstanding images but in the end they are presets like Instagram filters.

Just upgrade to Z6III from Fujifilm X-T3 and it's my first full frame camera after 10 years haha. Thanks for the tutorial, I hope you have a video on how to properly expose N-LoG because I'm in video creation too.
Thanks for this : very clear, complete, easy to understand. I hope we see this capability in Zf firmware sooner rather than later. Hopefully Nikon are not delaying intentionally and turning this into a Z6III exclusivity.... Would also be nice on the current 45 MP bodies (Z7II included): avoid fiddly Lightroom raw conversion sessions altogether before handing over highlights of a shoot to your clients with your own signature colour gradings on the spot and straight out of camera.
Hi. On a deal, I’m getting a nano textured Apple Studio Display for $300 less than the one with standard glass. I don’t have any light in front of the monitor, so reflections aren’t a concern . I don’t mind paying the extra for the standard glass, if that’s the better option. What would you recommend?
meh.. overpriced, I still have my old Sony a7. and some nice zeiss (vintage) glass, you don't need those super-expensive cameras, but if you want some leica feel, get their lenses with an adaptor.
One error/mistake/missed point. If you use NX Studio as your RAW converter then the recipes are applied to the RAW images prior to modifying and/or exporting. Yes, to tiff or jpeg but a good starting point.
There is two types of cold shoes, the one on the tops of the cameras are suppoused to be self-holdong by pressure but the others (like the one you show) are sopoused to be hold by a NUT, so it is not a problem of the DJI mic.
Kinda clickbaity. This would be more relatable if this process was to make the Nikon a bit like a Fuji XT series camera. The x100 is a totally different experience altogether especially because of its fixed lens form factor. The recipes are pretty fun but not the x100’s sole identity.
Interesting video about the new imaging cloud. I think the workflow could be expanded in the future to synchronize all the picture profiles, camera settings and editing from NX Studio without the need to exchange any memory card on the camera because it's all done over the cloud. And if you have multiple cameras also synchronize between them.
@@davidcrighton3431 It would be even more comfortable if it would be a "one click solution" within the own Software of Nikon. For example like "Send to Imaging Cloud" or a Sync option. Everything what has to do with a user profile or custom options could be managed from the cloud.
I have 2 Shure MVL’s, and they work great on the DJI Mic1 w/o any adapters. Is the TRS adapter required on the DJI Mic2? (edit: @storybabble answered this w/ his comment)
Thanks so much for this very awesome video, you’re definitely best in class!!! Please please make a video for setting up the Z6iii as the follow up to your initial one for autofocus settings for stills and videos which you programmed to U1-U2-U3 for simplicity.
@@kylemeshna Others like me I'm sure are anxious to plug-in those settings to our cameras...could you link them within your initial video where you suggested autofocus settings for stills and video???
Camcorders have always been better overall. Its just that yawll got sucked into the DSLR/Mirrorless trend. I've shot on the Sony HVRs and Canon XA10 for years, all while everyone was buying photo cameras for video for some reason. I was always confused. No NDs, No proper Audio, No video-centric button layout, No Servo Zoom for smooth zooms etc.... The small sensors never bothered me at all because I never jumped on the full frame wagon either. HOWEVER....lol I do wish these latest offerings were super35 I must admit!
I want to rent one for a month, and see if I like the pictures better. I'll compare it to my d5500.... I really want to see if there is a magical difference
Kudos on the video. I've owned both. The main thing I miss about my Q is the lens and the file processing. The lens that renders the closest to the Leica for the Sony is the Batis 25mm. The colors have been elusive for me.
I've used Ms for many years now. Starting out with the M6 that I upgraded to an M7, which I still have. Then I bought an M9P and later an M240P and a Monochrome 240P, I closed the collection with an X-U (type113). So it is some years ago that I bought the last one. But I still use them occasionally when I feel the need of following my inclination to be a fotographer, since you have to do a lot of thinking - and most certainly also have the time - to get the proper results. But the cameras that I use on a daily basis is now Nikon Z (Zf, Z8 and Z9). In fact Nikon has been my favourite brand since the FA was launched many years ago. These are foolproof cameras with great lenses. They may lack the elegance of a Leica M, but they are, as Kyle says, workhorses/tools. We shall be going on a safari in Kenya soon, and I would be a fool if I only brought the Leicas with me with the 135 mm tele lens as the longest one. For me Leica is for fun and I chose the P versions where I could so that I use a camera, that does not draw attention. Are they worth the money? That depends on your attitude. If you are a fan of equipment from the top shelf and are able to feel the sheer joy of owning and using something unique, they most definitely are worth the money. But I now have retired and do not have the money to follow two branches. I have to stick to one. Kind greetings from Denmark, Klaus
