We quit our jobs, moved out of our home in the UK and now live and travel full-time in our self-built camper van. We converted an LWB Mercedes Sprinter white panel van into a luxury off-grid camper van.
Hi Greg and Louise thanks so much for putting this video series together. I’m rewatching in now as we are heading down the N2 now 😁 we stayed at that campsite last night and it was lovely. In Aldi at Vila Real car park atm getting some supplies and will be looking out for the 64km marker today as we head into the Douro valley. What a brilliant series this is, I stumbled on your channel whilst researching the N2, and it has everything, we will be leaving for Bilbao at the end of May, and will basically follow your lead, can’t wait, BTW, me and the good lady will be doing it 2 up on our yellow Vespa, so will be travelling light!,and we have 3 weeks to get to the end and back, thanks for the inspiration, as I said at the beginning it’s brilliantly put together with a lot of care and effort, cheers guys.
Enjoying the videos, thank you. Just a very short drive from Mora is a fluvarium, a huge aquarium dedicated to river fish and animals. We found it fascinating! We came back at the end of February from Portugal but it was very wet and windy this year. Helpful tip - don't park up on the top of a mountain (Marvao) when a storm comes in lol. I swear the back of the van lifted off the ground!

Hey Greg thanks for bringing us along on your N2 adventure. We are leaving the UK at the end of May to head through France and Northern Spain to head down the N2 - can’t wait! You’re right about getting local knowledge to see the most interesting local sights and events. Did you get to the standing stones nearer to Évora? The two times we’ve been there the people in the information centre have been fascinating. And you can stay there and use the bathroom etc which was great. How long would you say roughly you are in the van travelling each day? As it looks like you’re taking it nice and slow. We’ll have the kids so less time in the van the better 👍
We did it really slow over the course of a month from top to bottom so we could stay in each location for a couple of days if we wanted to. We did get to see some standing stones yes 👍🏼😎🚐
Just saw that a new video is finally online. I'm really looking forward to watching it with my wife tonight. Thank you for this wonderful Easter gift! I will soon be setting off on a longer trip myself, the centerpiece of which will be a road trip along the N2.

Greg! You are back! Sounds silly as we have never met but I was concerned that you hadn't been around. Our conversion is coming on well but nowhere as quick as it was with your videos. Glad you like Portugal, we spend a lot of time in Meia Praia each year. Enjoy your travels 👍
Great video Greg and it's been a while since I last saw the N2 series. Amazing sights and locations which made it highly enjoyable. Wasn't the Cork mural awesome? that is certainly some work of art. Your video only took half an hour but I bet the mural didn't. 😉

Just starting to watch your N2 series and really enjoying it. Your videos are really well made, informative and enjoyable to watch - thank you. I'll have to watch Episode 1 again with my wife, as I think she'll enjoy it too, plus it'll inspire us to do a similar trip in the future in our panel van conversion.
Hi Greg. Sorry this is an unrelated question but I’ve just seen a comment you left on another page a few months back and just wanted clarification. It’s regarding earth or no earthing on EHU. I’ve earthed Consumer unit to van chassis is this wrong please
Here’s one of mine for winter. 3 Bean Stew - 2024 version 1 Butter beans - 1 can Cannellini beans - 1 can Haricourt beans - 2 cans 5 beans (Sainsbury’s) - 1 can Chickpeas - 1 can Chopped tomato’s - 2 cans Garlic - 2 cloves Ginger - 1 ounce Chorizo ( cut small) -85 grams Water - 1/2 cup ( warm) In slow cooker for hours until beans tender not mushed. Serve in a bowl with a small piece of cod on top. You can use virtually any beans, whatever you can get and vary the other bits as well if you want - enjoy! Freeze portions of the stew and use fresh cod.
Next time you are in Northern England try the Shipley Glen Tramway near the WorldHeritage site of Saltaire,loads to see and do,just don’t pick a wet day. You can park near to the top of the tramway on Shipley Glen. Some great views from there. Well worth a visit.
I have a very arthritic knee so going back down would be torture. I once climbed the 400 steps from the South Stack lighthouse on Anglesey carrying one of my kids on my shoulder.i was a lot younger then though. Great scenery there guys !

Hi Greg. Loving this series so far. What time of year did you start the N2? Following with interest as we’re planning on starting it around the end of March this year and expecting it to be quite cool when we start, hopefully getting warmer as we travel South, maybe taking up to 3 weeks.
Hi Greg/Lou, I was really inspired by you and your enthusiasm to build my own van. Unfortunately my health isn’t as well as it should be. I watched all episodes anyway. The next best thing is to buy a 2 birth motorhome(Peugeot Boxer). I went the motorhome route mainly because if I bought a second hand self built van, I really wouldn’t have the confidence in it, meaning has everything been done correctly? I’ve always been interested in travelling. Like you I too have a motorcycle (Triumph tiger 800) and camp wherever I can. Done Europe a few times, and LA to Vancouver (to see my sister) once. I’ve now subscribed to your travel channel 👍👍👍 really looking forward to viewing all these. Keep up the good work, and thanks for all the info you put in.
