The very best feature you’ve made on that car is the one piece front wings, the rest is just a bit ‘hairdresser’ and another also ran LS3 conversion - the Wilkes Brothers will be spinning in their graves…
How to make a Range Rover look naff - oversized wheels? The original Land Rover series 1 had tyres that were so skinny yet it resulted in legendary off road ability. This Tonka-Toy looks proper shit
Yea I find those wheels way too big and the flares to high against the bonnet edge. But that aside, looks awesome and would drive like a beast. Hoping to do the same one day. Well done guys
Why would you say that? It means he loses the LSD function for on-road and gravel, because with diff-locks they are essentially "open"centres, unless they are locked. Absolutely a backward step for a road going cruiser!
Too right… my classic used to have larger tyres too and it detracted from the supple ride the standard size tyres would give. I removed them all and went back to original and now it handles like a thoroughbred.
I always admire the level of detail and workmanship you put into these cars. I dream of owning an rrc justt like my dad used to in Africa. Hopefully I'll be in touch with you soon!
very cool which six speed trans are you using a ZF, HP6/8 ? cus i am doing a swap my self on 2011 range rover l322 with a m113 engine with the Factory OE trans A ZF 6 HP.
I'm so pleased to see this classic car given another lease on life. Credit to the owner and the LRA team. Just quietly, my favourite part was the ending ;-)
LRA are the guys for Rover 110% enthusiasts. I bought their fat boy flares for my D2 and they delivered the item I knew I would receive. Awesome stuff.
Love what you guys are doing for the D2. I suggest that for this video you re-edit and lower the background music level and raise the volume of the presenter. Cheers
Did you have to do anything special to make this unit fit? This Alpine INE-W977D was discontinued. Will any single din 7" multimedia head unit fit a Discovery Series 2? I'm looking at purchasing a Pioneer DMH-1500NEX Digital Media Receiver with 7" WVGA Display. The dimensions are 11 x 9.5 x 6 inches.
