Hey Gerard, Thankyou for this video,very infomative,i have bought the same Ciano 60 aquarium and keeping Goldfish in them for the first time. Just a question ,can we use two different cartridges toghether in the tank as there are 4 slots in it. As in can i use the algae cartridge and the water clear cartridge toghether in the filter provided.

Except that water conditioner doesn’t ONLY remove chlorine, it removes heavy metals and creates a good environment for the fish. Chlorine shouldn’t be your only worry.

Is that the SOBO FH-1903 or 1902 internal filter you are using? I looked it up online and the 1903 has 3 compartments, not 2 like yours.

Hi Gerard, great videos. I’m a complete beginner to aquariums, and was looking for a tank to hold 2 goldfish and 1 cleaner fish. The ciano 60 is on my radar, however looking at the size of the bio filter in your video, I have to agree with your view that it’s too big. For a beginner with my needs, would you recommend buying the Ciano 60 and replacing the filter with the SOBO you have? Or buying a plain tank and picking up the light/filter separately? Looking at around 60L capacity.

Just buy a bottle of seachem safe. It lasts FOREVER. You barely have to use any especially for smaller tanks, I just get the tip of my pinky wet and dip it in the powder, and then dip that in my bucket of water. I’ve had the same bottle for years

Hi Gerard, I have a 70L tank with CFBio150 filter. I am planning on having a well-planted tank with fish and snails and hopefully some other little critters. Looking to have as close to a self-sustaining tank as possible (minimum water changes, etc.). I have a large airstone for water agitation and oxygenation. Do you think I should just soup up my CFBIO150 or replace it? The size is a bit of a problem but from what I understand, internal filters are not so good for large tanks? What do you think?
