DO NOT MOVE HERE. It is truly Hell on Earth. Literally. 4 months out of the year you will not be able to go outside or do anything because it will be 110-115 degrees and the heat is only getting worse every year.

Yes, everything he says is true. If you're thinking of moving here don't. We're full, it's getting hotter and we're running out of water. Did I forget about the dangerous wildlife that roams the streets day and night? Gila Monsters, wild javelinas and hungry coyotes that'll snatch your babies from their strollers or pluck your small pets up and eat them. It's not worth it. Stay where you are or go to California.

I find all these travel videos about random AZ cities funny. Tempe, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Gilbert, Chandler, Glendale- guess what folks. They are all the exact same place and they're all like 10 minutes from one another.

This needs to be updated. Far from a safe city. There’s been a rash of violent teen crimes; Gilbert Goons. The GPD and school administrators ignored this until a young teens life was taken. Seems to be a heavy Mormon influence controlling the city. Be wary….

Growing up around 35th ave and bell rd. Starting around 1995. That was north Phoenix. Crazy to see the change and idk if it’s all been for the good. But either way I still love it here.

Move here if you like lots of traffic, lack of fine dining, construction all the time, Apartment and mini house rentals $2,500 - $2,600 for 900sq ft. Lots of noise and so forth. The growth of this town has far overtaken and sense of "community". It's all about commuting and keeping-up with the Jones's. It was a nice area.... Not anymore. Sorry, we are leaving this area. Too many "rats in the maze".

Here is a list of population of Phoenix since 1960. How could one say that everyone is leaving Phoenix when the population is growing consistently, and Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the USA? I’m quite honestly confused by so many negative comments. I just moved into a new build in Queen Creek. I am coming from Flagstaff, so this is a big change for me. The new park just opened half a mile from my house and Marketplace is 1.5 miles away. This is by far the nicest house and area I have ever lived in. Lots of schools, lots of families, lots of good things to do inside and outside. It is expensive but that’s why it’s so nice! The city of Queen Creek has secured water rights for far into the future so that point is pretty moot. Glad I was able to get in before the boom!

So what is it??? Leaving or not??? You say that there are so many people moving here way more times then you say they are moving out. I have lived in Arizona since 1975 and have seen Phoenix do nothing but grow. To much even. I wish over half would move the hell back to where they came from. Or anywhere else but here. Thank you!!!

I lived in Phoenix for over 6 years and it’s bad. 118 degree July days. The bland landscape and cookie cutter city design, lacks character. The extreme wind guts in August. Don’t get me started what happened 1/25/2021 and also they had to gut the entire street power grid on the street after a 50 year old underground power line failed. A worst case scenario. Sure it was only one street but why mine? While it was summer. Having to replace every plugged in electronics, all the wires, all the outlets, the entire circuit breaker the transformer the main line and all other lines is a nightmare, complete and total collapse of the electrical grid on that street. But as bad as that was, there was still one thing that was worse. The air quality. Do not live out here in winter. All the chimney smoke getting into the house

I’m 46 years old and I grew up in East Phoenix. Just on the opposite side of Papago Park. The park was basically my back yard, and spent many days exploring it. Needless to say, Tempe has always been once of the hotspots for me as a teenager. Once I retired from the Army, I moved back here and I still find myself going to Papago and Tempe. I run the lake and the park quite a bit. Love it here.

Where would you guys recommend out of towner for investment property?
@YourPhoenixCityLiving
@YourPhoenixCityLiving 5 месяцев назад
Thanks for the comment and asking a great question. Phoenix is widely known for it's appeal to investors and people looking to add investment properties to their portfolio. To answer your question, it really depends on a few factors. Are you looking for long term buy and holds as a rental? Short term rentals like Air BnB? And most importantly, whats your budget? Phoenix is so big with so much to offer that in order to find the right investment property, we need to narrow down your specifics. Once we got that, we can easily narrow down the part of town you can focus on! Lets set up a quick zoom chat and I can point you the right direction and make sure you have a clear picture of where to focus. Send me your email here, or email us at AZ@confidentagents.com and we can easily set up an easy, no obligation zoom call. Look forward to chatting!

Interesting, I’ve found that it has some of the best schools in the state if you look at the charter schools. What did you not like about the hospitals? I agree that pay needs to catch up in most parts of Arizona, but many have gotten around that with remote work.
