I’m guess the plans arnt engineered plans that can actually be approved? Like there to electrical or plumbing in your plans? It’s basically a framing kit?

There needs to be a housing revolution where people build their homes from scratch, just as you did. I could buy a home for $400k but I refuse to do it...
Pretty neat. I'd say all your recommendations are spot on. AR company though. Zero chance I will ever do any AR business for the remainder of my days. Then again I can lay out most of these floor plans in less than half a day.
I think you have a great house and a great family! I'm so glad you are teaching your children valuable skills. Not many people can say, "we built our house!"
good job. seeing your kids working with you and learning a skill reminds me of a Mark Twain quote " never let your education get in the way of your learning " i believe this quote to have a lot of truth in it.
No furnace or air conditioning? I didn't see ductwork. I guess you could use heat pump minisplits. Probably need 3 of them. Add another 15,000 for them
Brilliant what can i say apart from Brilliant, that is one heck of a family and the Parents must be so proud that their kids helped their Dad build this house from scratch. Just think that when the kids brings friends round they can say "i built some of this house from scratch" what a trade to learn about, and how to do stuff and what is involved in the building of a house. Smart, hardworking kids, you did a great job as a family. I learned from following my carpenter Grandfather around, there were 3 generations helping when I built my first house in 1978. The memories are grand.
Great job with your house and more importantly family. I was saying to myself, I really hope he contracts out the concrete work & drywall. You did for one but not the other 😂 some drywallers won’t even finish sheets they didn’t hang! Best family project ever!
These kids will be hanging around friends in their 20's that are complaining about the cost of housing. They will say, "Shut your pie hole, my dad and brother and I built our own"!
