I'm a cosplayer based in Perth, Western Australia. I love making videos - tutorials, tips, vlogs etc., As well as building projects and sometimes even competing :) I upload a new video every Sunday!
I don’t foresee me putting on toph again anytime soon. She’s a lot lol. But there is no way I’m getting rid of her. The rock prop however../ that will probably go soon
I just cleaned, reorganized and added a bunch of little drawers for all my haberdasheries in my work space and I am so happy with it. And it took me a couple of months to work up to it too... But what a joy, when it is done, right?!
This was awesome to watch. I’m wondering though if you might need to get an extra rolling wrack for hanging. You could also add a shoe shelf at the bottom.
I went to a craft de-stash sale today. Managed to sell some of my surplus supplies, now I need to reorganise and tidy up my craft room (it doesn't look like I took anything out of it, haha. Thanks for the inspiration to keep chipping away at it :) I have a photo of me in my TARDIS dress in the same TARDIS picture frame too! Great to see :D
Thank you for sharing this process, I know how rough it can be to reclaim sewing space after it gets upended. I'm still slowly working on getting my new sewing space set up after my move. I used your last fabric organizing video for inspiration on how to organize my own stash and so far it's working awesome for me!
@@KirileeCosplay I said I'm not working on the cosplay, not that I was focused solely on my homework lol some progress has been made on the homework front don't worry
Thank you for sharing your journey of tackling the sewing areas. It may have been a big task, but it's so worth it in the end. Um, just a little tip. It looked like you put your posters up with bluetac. I recommend you don't. Take it from someone who used to put up prints with bluetac. Over a long time. The oil from the bluetac stained the paper and ruined the print. Don't want that to happen to your beautiful prints. Keep up the great work.
Could you put any links to where you got your shelves, tables, and other organizational things, because both my room and sewing room never look clean due to the large amount of fabric and projects in them, and my mom always gets on me about it😮💨 the ones at Ikea are a little too pricey for me and I don’t know which ones to get on Amazon😅
This has inspired me! I have been planning a re-vamp of my sewing room for some time. Even have the new shelving units purchased AND... still in their boxes. Well, hubby just promised to help this next week - very excited. Thanks for all your positive vibes!
My grandmother, b. 1900, was a photo colorist in Texas when she was a young mother. It was work she could do at home with her children about. She also worked as a milliner, kept a boarding house, and even had a still in the basement during prohibition. Industrious and talented in so many ways. :)
I was wondering what your thoughts are on themed build books? I’ve seen a couple that are like fully themed to the character with the fonts and colors, are those too distracting to judges? Edit: This is my lesson in watching the whole video before commenting lol
It’s great if it is easy to read. However, I have judged books that have done this and I got so frustrated because it was more of a presentation about their love for the character than the actual build.
I would like to point out that the costumes you show for District 12 are not from the first movie but from the 2nd one. The first movie the costumes were orange and red like flames. Katniss's costume was a long dress.
Ah, I'm late ! But can I replace the tulle with white fabric? I'd want to make a skirt who would ressemble this exact petticoat. So, would it still work using fabric?
This tutorial was perfect! You sure did save me a world of frustration. I'm making an unusual take on the "Queen of Hearts" cosplay for a local con. Thank you :)
Just got the idea of making a crinoline base to give some pzazz to my halloween costume! I never sewn in my life (well, at least not seriously) and I'm happy I found this video! Seems easy to follow. At least I got how to plan it out haha! Hope I can make a decent job in such little time with no machine! Thank you for the tutorial!
I loved Six the Musical that I saw in Melbourne on Thursday 10/10/24. I was in Melbourne for other reasons and didn't know PAX was on that weekend until I saw cosplayers on the Friday morning and a Pax poster. Maybe I'll go back next year.
I hope you had an amazing Pax! It's such a fun and interactive convention, it may be my favourite that I've been to. I saw Six on the Thursday night (third time) and it was incredible and I also had to talk myself out of wearing my Jane cosplay haha. So like you I'm hoping they come to my home state, then I will wear it!
You sew the Center down on from the correct side. Then sew both sides with seam allowance. Turn those out to the correct side through towards the middle. Iron and then stitch by hand the Center on the inside. I hope that hells
Costume is amazing and I really appreciate you putting out all your videos about your journey through this competition. It helped me calm my nerves and ensure I was properly prepared ( no lie I copied your build book format as it was so clear to read) and I ended up winning 1st in the Journeyman Catagory for LACC 2024 Cosplay Championship! Im so eager for doing another in the near future now knowing its possible to put my mind to it and compete.
Omg yay. I'm at PAX this weekend as well. Hope you have an awesome time and have a great time at SIX..... even though that means you'll be missing the sea shanty night session 😅
Enjoy Pax and Six!!! I like how you’re going to see Six again later to wear Jane. Terry arguing was funny…. Sorry Terry. Talk her out of Cosplay for one and she has to get another chance. I hope you have a blast!!!
It’s me! I always thought you were saying…it’s May. Um, but it’s October. Sorry, not a cartoon person. But I do love the effort you’ve made with this. Big 👍👍🦘🦘
i LOVE the idea for the stuffed puff™️ i’m thinking of making a proper motley (as in a jester outfit) and this could be pulling some major weight if i chained these together somehow
