I didn’t watch Classic doctor who until I watch modern doctor who with Tennent, Eccleston, Smith, Capaldi, Gatwa and Whittaker . Sarah Jane adventures and Dr who is the reason why I watched
Love how when they wrote "half a dozen times" they were likely referring to the time since the 4th doctor. But with the war doctor coming into the picture, it's actually more accurate as to the time she met the 5th doctor
I always love coming back to these episodes and Minisodes, so nostaligic and my favourite era of Dr Who. From this one, I always love how The Doctor got "Spoilers" from River Song, who got it from the Doctor... Maybe we should get Twelve with his Guitar to explain Bootstrap Paradoxes again! 😅
There were 0 interactions like these in the new season. And I miss them, I miss how the doctor teaches his companions stuff and how he helps them grow. But hey, other people may enjoy the new doctor more, that's good. Future doctors may be my favourites again
"exceeded the trillion dollar mark"... Sounds quaint after the "plague" we had, doesn't it? Turns out govt power grabs are so much more mundane, and much more expensive.
The funniest thing to me about this, is seeing all of the subterfuge, maneuvering, espionage, strategizing, betrayal, and mind games played between Shield and Hydra, and then seeing the Avengers just drop in with no clue about what's going on and trivializing it all.
It would have been so awesome when Cap said in Winter Soldier “Before we get started, does anyone want to get out?” Claire from the one-shot, says “I would like to get out” and appears behind him. 😂
That's effing CRAZY. If you have been following the series you know they kept alluding to a 'thing' stalking the Doctor but never stepping out of the shadows. Hell, it used to haunt his nightmares as a child. And then here it is after 20 years of buildup.
Broke: Temporal Grace never existed Woke: The Doctor is always embarrassed when the TARDIS doesn’t work properly so 11 lied and said it never existed AWAKE: River (The Child of The TARDIS) likes to humble the Doctor to the extent that she subconsciously turned off Temporal Grace
With The Trickster having been namedropped in the last episode of Doctor Who, I'm just here to say that I hope he can appear in the main series this time.
With marvel tv officially being cannon and shows being revived like daredevil I hope cloak and dagger can make there long overdue return hopefully with the same actors too
I strongly suspect that when he said "half a dozen times since we last met" the writers were counting from Four to Ten without factoring in Sarah Jane's appearance in The Five Doctors or the War Doctor. But if you do it correctly it does work out, so eh... And if there was one companion that he would let on about the War Doctor, Sarah Jane was probably her.
Having recently rewatched "the Hand of Fear" and "the Pyramids of Mars" I have reevaluated my opinion of Sarah Jane and have moved her up in my Companion list to nr. 3, after Rose Tyler and Ace. You go girl!
watching this with current dr who context (empire of death being releases this weekend) the first clip of the trickster pointing is very very similar to ruby's "mother" pointing in the time window in the first half of the finale.
I love these mentions so much, there's so much stuff that makes it seem like the trickster will appear in the new episode. But it feels too good to be true istg
If you think about the arguments people are making for the avengers 'paying for the damage' they get really *really* dumb. They are literally acting as soldiers protecting your home, you're not gonna hold special forces *personally* accountable for fixing damage that they saved from killing you. If there's reimbursement that's the government's job
