This is so pretty! I love the vinyl and colour combination. You are so brave doing the flat method. I am not that coordinated and if I end up ruining the wrap I would rather do it before doing all the work vinyl and glitter work haha Although working around the cup also has its drawbacks, right? Many thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the compliment. Theres definitely drawbacks to both methods. You might lose some the smaller pieces when applying the vinyl to the tumbler first. Try both and you’ll find what’s most comfortable for you. Happy crafting.
@@SheriPhaffArtPaintBrushed When you apply pigments or micas to your projects, it must be vanished in. All this really means that it needs to be rubbed into the surface of your project. Hope this makes sense.
@@sietegiftshop Ahh thanks for the clarification, I thought you applied a varnish product over the mica. However, varnish is a resin like topcoat. You likely mean "burnish" which means rubbing (to polish). ;) Thanks for sharing!
Thank you. The template is from Ellie’s Crafty Co. She has a website and is also on Etsy. elliescraftyco.com/products/groovy-waves-template-for-20oz-skinny-straight-tumblers
First time seeing you here and I'm glad I watched this.. for starters, you do beautiful work!! I like how you explained each step also. Your tumblers, both those, are gorgeous!! ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for the question. I used transfer tape because the template has several pieces. When you use transfer tape the pieces stay in place. You definitely can just wrap the vinyl but you risk the vinyl pieces moving around and distorting the template, the pieces won’t lay evenly. Hope that helps. Thanks
Im having a problem. Not sure if its my printer or my toaster oven or just me hahaha. I got a canon pixma and the sublimation ink in it. Ive printed a million times and i can not get it to go onto the cup for anything. Ive played with the printer settings. It has a setting for light and dark iron on, ive tried gloss, matte everything. Im at a loss
I’m sorry you’re having trouble. It can be frustrating at first. I have a couple of questions for you: Is your cup coated for sublimation? Are you making sure that the sublimation paper is tightly wrapped on the cub with the image facing the cup? If you’re still having trouble please let me know. Hope that helps.
@@sietegiftshop it was a printer problem lol. After tons and tons of google and youtube, come to find out canon is not compatible to sublimate. I had the joy of taking out all the ink and taking back to walmart and getting the epson et-2803.
@@Lokas_mystical_craftsI'm sorry you had to go through all the trouble but happy you found out where the problem was. Can't wait to see what you create.
Hola. cuanto mide de ancho la cinta negra que cortas para hacer las líneas? la que colocas antes de la cinta holográfica? Hola. how wide does it measure the black tape you cut to make the lines? the one you place before the holographic tape?
The editing software is a HUGE part of this process. I get confused between Canva, Inkscape, and Silhouette Studio and where to send the files to print them
Thank for the question. You can design in any of the programs you listed. You’ll need to save your designs on your computer or tablet. I personally like uploading them onto Silhouette studio the free version. You can also print from MS Word, photoshop or Cricut design. Hope that helps.
Omg so glad you made this video about using a toaster oven. Ive have one just sitting around. Definitely would love a video about setting up the printer
So glad I found your channel. Great video! I would love to see you do a video on setting up your sublimation printer. I have an Epson eco tank and a Sawgrass 500. I get the best product using my Epson eco tank. 🥰
I need help with setting up my printer to get the perfect 20 ox skinny tumbler even when i download as 9.20 x 8.05 or 9.4 x 8.29. I can never get the right size.
Thank you. Is your UV light at least 48W. The stronger the light the better, also make sure it’s plugged into the wall outlet directly and not use an extension. Hope this helps.
