But there is no justifying that purchase man.. buying that car was a mistake. 80k car and a $1000 car payment at 21 is going to feel like an anchor holding you back. Everyone else that drove cheap cash vehicles is gonna be $1000 a month ahead of you for the next 6 years and youll just be starting out debt free at 27. If you had invested the $20,000 added $1000 every month for 6 years @7% youd have $121,862 in the bank by the time you are 27 earning 29k in interest. If you did it for 9 years until you were 30 you would have $190,566. Well on your way to being a very rich man and set up for an easy life - Instead you are making the dealership and banks rich. Congrats man! I think it depends on everyone situation. Many people spend $2k a month on 1 child for day care. No one has issues with it, but god forbid someone spends it on a nice car that makes you happy and thats a bad decision.

The GAP insurance you purchased definitely was a waste of money you are in good shape due to the amount of money you put down. the value of the C8 will not drop that much.

Just got my c8 2020 CMG with 9k miles with a lot of options MSRP was 111k priced at 80k got it for 74k with a 29k trade in on a C5z. Really hopping the market bottoms out a bit but I’ll prolly lose like 4-8k In depreciation in a year. How much yall think the c8s will go for ina year?
Imo the best way to get you dream car if you cant full afford it completely is to get a similar car and build it up then sell it. Then you will see what the real cost is. Its definitely time for me to invest theres no age limit to invest.
You have so much to learn about money. There is absolutely no reason for you to finance this car. Just because you can afford the payments doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. You need to learn about delayed gratification. Driving your so called dream car at 22 is crazy. You haven’t worked for it to truly appreciate it. It’s cool though, in ten years you will look back at this purchase and realize what I’m talking about. That money should be working for you in some sort of investment. They you use the dividends to purchase toys. And I’m not talking about the fact that you own one rental property. That is level 1. Best of luck.

That's funny you said something about rocks flying up from them trucks because I've had 2 rocks fly up and bust my windshield just in the past yr! I literally just bought a brand new windshield for my sonata because a rock busted the bottom corner driver side of my windshield and it literally just happened again maybe 6 months after I bought my new windshield.
