When you have any performance muffler on a high out put engine, be careful not to have flame travel from your header to your muffler, in theory, mount a pipe the collector, no muffler's at this time, run the engine up to 4000 rpm and verify by the pipes color where the flame travel ends, then mount your muffler 2 inches past the flame travel.
Why performer rpms? trickflow 240 are a couple hundred more fully cnc'd would of gained you 60 hp for sure in a standard port window in this combination.
I've been doing a ton of research on front upgrade for the Gen I Dakota's. From what I've found, the pre 1984 d150 rotor use different sized bearing than the 1985 and up. What I found is the 1985 and up, and Dakota's use the same wheel bearings and was told that the 84 and below wouldn't work. Looks like they worked just fine from your video. Have you experienced any issues since you installed them? Awesome job, thanks!
So far so good with mine. If you look on a site like rockauto, you can check all years and compare to the dakota part numbers. They're the same on pre 84s also.
@@mlevi512 Thanks for the update! I actually did some deep diving the other night on Rock Auto (agreed a great site to compare parts) and found exactly what my vehicle needed. As far as I can tell, at least on 91 Dakota up trucks, the inner wheel bearing used is an A18. 74-83 D150's trucks with 5 lugs use an A17 bearing and race, which is a bit smaller than the A18. The race is around 3mm larger on the A18 in diameter. A little wider as well. I'm not sure if the A17 bearing can still work in the A18 race, but they are somewhat close size wise. Just for relevance, Both Dakotas and D150's from 1974 use the A16 outer bearing. What I found is that in a 1984 D150 (seems like a one year only part) they had a 5 x 4.5 rotor that uses the A18 inner bearing. The part number is 7034R . In description it says (with 3300 lb axle). I have a set of caliper brackets for a wilwood D52 caliper to work with these specific rotors which is why I was deep diving into this. I figured I would share the info just in case anyone would see it as useful. Had mine up at 54, only thing I changed was it went from a Hydro to a 6 speed, locked the diff put gear oil and then I put a massive pulley on the engine. I'm having issues with the belt now lol. It's a wild ride, but if you go straight it's not horrible
Imagine putting that power to the blades, grass would fly so far. Be too much for them to chew at that speed, but slow and turning wtf rpms that be a freak show.
@@Rudy97 didn't think of that. One I got eats belts if it's going too fast. Usually gotta keep it somewhere middle throttle. It's press in and go, doesn't have gears. Miss the gears they ran better.
@@Dennis4523 the john Deere I got throws belts, I'm usually going really slow with the blade speed up the accelerator pressed half in, doesn't have gears.
@@kennethwallace4338 My Husqvarna never struggles on the belt side or any side. The automatic transmission is smooth and I didn't even know tractors had many gears. 5-6 years of owning 2 and the oldest one is still working perfectly
I had one throw me off in the road ditch when I was a kid maybe twelve years old after a pulley swap it ran great running around the neighborhood in low gear did wheelies and left little burnouts in first gear should have never tried to open it up in second gear once I started swerving there wasn't no stopping it I ended up in the road ditch with some skin marks on both hands arms and legs turned it back over on its wheels and drove it back to the garage in first gear she had way too much play in the steering to go faster than 10 or fifteen mph
