Thank you this helps alot. I'm an integrative counsellor and did my bachelors hons degree in that subject. Now i'm looking at the psychology pathway which is complicated to as there is different things to go into but im interested in space medicine and it seems there is no one below psychology level on those sorts of teams so I'm in the process of finding out all i can so i can make an informed decision on what my next steps are but they all start with a conversion masters so this helps. The other thing I was wondering is what after the masters conversion does that mean you have to do the post grad cert, dip and another masters or is that taken into consideration on account of the masters conversion etc. Then I think its docterate i.e. phd or phd psy right? Either way this helps with next steps thank you :)

Conversion programmes tend to be the first step and after completing this programme, some people pursue a Post Grad certificate, Diploma and also specialised master's (depending upon their career goals). You need a minimum of DClinPsyc to practice as a clinical psychologist in the UK. Hope this helps!
There are many such as LSE, KCL, Oxford, Cambridge, etc. However, I am not sure how many offer an MA in Psychology. You should be able to find online. Hope this helps!

Psychologists are ten a penny here in England and throughout the UK. You will find it very difficult to obtain a settled status here in the Uk if all you have is a Master`s Degree in Psychology. I don`t mean to disappoint you. But such is reality.
Thank you for reaching out. As an international student, I am not sure whether a student visa will allow you to pursue any programme part-time. I am not sure how useful a conversion degree from the UK will be in India especially if you are interested in clinical practice and not research. Maybe you can get in touch with the RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India)? My experience was good overall however, there can be certain challenges in job search. It can be a challenge to find relevant jobs in the UK these days but everyone has unique experiences. With recent changes in the visa rules, it is difficult to find sponsored jobs even in psychology (research and also clinical practice).

Thank you for reaching out. Conversion programmes are usually for people who have completed their bachelor's degree in subjects other than psychology. They are intensive and tend to give you an introduction to the entire field in a duration of one year. Hope this helps!

Usually, a BPS accredited course is the requirement to get into a DClinPsy programme in the UK. If you are an international student and your previous degree will not be recognised, you may need to pursue a conversion programme. Hope this helps!

Hi! I have a Bachelor's in English and I wish to take a conversion course (MSc) in Psychology. But my real aim is to do a PhD in Neuroscience. Will my conversion degree be sufficient for me to be selected as a PhD candidate in a university in the UK? Or do I need a proper MSc in Neuroscience (or a related field) on top of my conversion degree to be eligible for PhD?

Very good advice... and about choosing a course that isn't too easy or too difficult is absolutely correct. You talk about some very famous/great universities, but most good universities (red-brick) have very solid courses and very good quality faculty.
I went to edinburgh and they didnt teach me anything, I just was given reading to do, and essays to hand in. They did fk all got a Master od Arts in religious studies with honous though... which qualified me for....... wait for it...... Fk all I mght as well use the certificate to wipe my arse

Very good video. It opened my mind a bit. I'm also strugling with a problem that i dont feel like i deserve to go to such a briliant university especially for masters degeree and getting accepted was just pure luck. Good to know someone is having simmilar battles as me.
