Just stumbled on this video. Great work! I've been collecting Kurhn dolls for almost 10 years, and I have many dolls you mentioned here, especially the collector and high end ones. If you are interested in Kurhn, I highly recommend you check out Sonya Rose dolls. She is the Russian edition of Kurhn. Some Kurhn dolls are re-released there under different names , aside from some Russian exclusives.
Thank you so much, I really enjoyed your presentation. Tiny dolls have always been my favorites, they're just so special when you can hold them in your hand. I also started out with making dollhouse dolls, and have made dolls in many sizes, but the tiny ones are my favorite always. I also love Cathy Hansen dolls, and her sister Corky also made such beautiful things for Cathy's dolls. Anyway, thank you again!

Such a great overall of tiny dolls. There are some antique doll dealers saying that all the antique all bisque dolls are Hertwig. I didn't believe that, and now appreciate your studies. Would you consider doing another program on this site on the differences of some of the all bisque German dolls? I would find this a very good program for learning the indicators of some of the German factories, specifically. Thank you.
Miss Rebecca, thank you for this most interesting & educational video. I’ve been a member (not consistently because of moves) since 1998. At any rate I bought I believe it’s 3 rabbits that are Steiff. They are tiny & I bought them as pets for my dolls. I can’t exactly date them because they seem to resemble a few of what you described. I most appreciate these presentations that can viewed at one's leisure. So many times the ZOOM programs are not presented at a time convenient for everyone's viewing. These "Adventures in Dolls" are greatly appreciated and informative. Thank you
Why aren't the artists who made these dolls identified? Our UFDC mission includes education and encouraging the creativity of doll artists. I don't know if the Gaelic spoken here is correct, but I'm sure that Yeats is pronounced "yates," not "yeets."

Patti PLaypal was sculpted by Vincent DeFillippo and then Neil Estern, NOT Bernard Leipfert- that is incorrect. DeFillippo sculpted the first Patti Playpal, the babyface Patti, and then Neil Estern created the other Patti Playpal face sulpt that looks a little older. Leipfert did NOT sculpt Patti Playpal! I canot believe this obviously incorrect fact is in this video! from UFDC!

This made me really hopeful because I saw so much out of stock on the website I was afraid they'd gone out of business because there wasn't any new RU-vid videos. I was so sad thinking there might not be more dolls and things made by them. I'm so glad this video showed up. Now I'm hopeful again. I love this doll line so much!
