Hey Champ, I use a very fast SSD inside my (oveclocked) ps3. The 1st section of the video yours drops frames but mine doesnt. My overclock isnt as stong as yours. Im guessing that SSD is the diffference lol

An uncapped framerate is better, one less mod to deal with like with Uncharted 2. 😅 There are some pre-rendered cutscenes running at 60 FPS, I didn't skip one just to show that.
Sure, I can test Battlefield 3 in the future. If it's multiplayer, it's not always going to be the same run. But I guess I could record multiplayer gameplay because it's shutting down soon this year.

The OC increases the frequency, not the voltage, so the temp remains approximately the same. Sony wanted all PS3 to be equal so they were all caped to the same frequency, even though some of them could push a little bit higher
There is a list of 4.91 OC firmwares provided by Mitsu. Link here: app.mediafire.com/0uxvp5ismnjwm I suggest starting from 650/800, this is good sweet spot for performance. Going beyond that could lead to a brick, be careful.
Yes, the frame rate pacing is now excellent, because this is a later RAGE engine game (with better optimization), instead of the early ones like RDR and GTA IV.
Looks like the game is now running at stable 30 fps. But you should have done some testing during the day with more traffic. I suspect that the fps would drop even with the OC.
I have a video of a daytime free run outside Niko's apartment, OC only. Yes, the lowest FPS I got with the OC can go below 20 FPS. If my comment gets 5 likes I'll post that too.
If you want to use the Online Mod with Master Mod, you need to bypass version 2.11 to 2.17 with the EBOOT.BIN and PARAM.SFO mod files. As I've said, it's important (it's required, not just recommended).

Please, i Mean, those games like Sonic doesnt even must use the SPE Cores at all, and comunnity knows those sonic games are terrible optimized, im subscribed to you and i like your videos, but please bring real games, the Sony ones, like Uncharted Saga and Killzone 2, GOd of War, Gran TUrismo, maybe The Evil WIthin which highly increases performance with RSX overclock as this game Uses the PS3 Cell SPes and many others games close to PS3 end of Life like MGS 5 the Phantom Pain.

Thanks for your suggestions @VictorHugoAlvarez-eternelymiss , I have most of the PS3 games that you suggested. I can test those when I find the time. Sonic isn't a bad game (despite the poor optimizations), you can still use this video to compare to Xbox 360, and emulators like RPCS3 and Xenia.
@@SimRacer778 Alright Bro, Epic that you have the game, I never meant that Sonic is a bad game, actually I like Sonic very much, what I mean is that this game have very bad Code optimization on PS3 or this game may not even use any Spe at all so overclocking the GPU will not bring any improvement, that's it.
