I would give the remaining years of my life - and all of the life after - for just one moment like this with my mother - so I could tell her how much I love her, and to tell her how sorry I am for all the grief I caused her. I wasn't the daughter she deserved - she deserved so much better - but she still loved me unconditionally...
I only note that this film focused on the earthly good works of St John Bosco, but barely even referred to his mystical gifts. Because of this, I believe this film lacks courage and fails to do justice or recognition, that St John Bosco deserves and which might motivate and encourage the viewer to understand something of his connection to the divine, and seek the same connection in our lives.
I shared to watch in stillness. I have a special love of St. John Bosco.... I would race to the adoration chapel at the church b❤ bearing his name. It's as if I knew him in a special way. ❤❤❤❤❤....my daughter was married at this church as well...
Don Bosco is the only. Non profit missionary group ran Catholic School that genuinely serves the poor. In the Philippines at least. The rest are Catholic only by name and mostly serves the elite students only.

Saint Don Bosco showed me in a small way the sin of stealing. In a big chain store I was going to steal a small brush. I had recently heard of our great Saint Don Bosco and prayed to him. While walking down an aisle I felt something and felt a presence and knew it was Saint Don Bosco. Through an understanding he told me to put the brush down. At the same time I felt the sin of stealing. What the bad thing is about stealing that God told us, Thou Shalt Not Steal. What that feeling would feel like on a grand or larger scale, I don't know. I put the brush down where I was. I have never stolen anything again and will never steal anything again. Saint Don Bosco, please pray for us 🌹✝️❤️
Yes, for sure as willing to listen and learn from Bishop Tagle his numerous experiences so well shared and yet so essential for the Churches in the world to grow to heights unknown instead of keeping to one selves! He is a well known individual and well loved and rightly said Jesus was born in Asia even from the Biblical times coming down to us helping the vocations of children to grow so well explained by a Filipino Bishop Luis Antonio Tagle a calling so well shared by him on vocations for future upbuilding of Individuals needed for religious communion and mission a calling indeed to a special someone to the Priesthood and onwards Growing by faith listening and attentive calling chosen and called, very interesting indeed and a joy to listen to his explanations re Church calling and upbuilding further into Churches built by community of faithful believers! Very interesting indeed and a joy to Listen to by those willing to hear and believe in the Congress party calling to believe in a growing relationship in individual capacity to grow onwards - many are called but few are chosen - words in the bible for a linguistic calling especially by youth fully nourished to hear the calling to which they belonged to! Interesting talk indeed not to be deleted ( so many listening to his talk) for mission up Upbuilding for Missionary activity to grow ....answer...wherever or whoever is the answer the best TAGLE can give to all willling to listen for upbuilding future churches for generations yet to come = so well explained to be madei into the image of God a lasting One to believe in and for development of absolute truth for the values of the Churches to grow onwards, forwards and marching to grow upwards, so to say, in response to God's calling by listening to each other in social communication - he gives his experiences on digital Living etc etc = very interesting indeed = He is bringing individuals down to earth or taking some upwards only by listening etc etc thereby helping the youth and future generations= Well done Bishop Luis Antonio Tagle thank you! What I loive about these early classic films on the lives of our heavenly saints in which many contemporary renditions lack, is its authenticity and how the Traditional Catholic sanctity of the saint was properly expressed. Many modern day films on the lives of saints have a tendency of trying to appeal to the contemporary nature of our population while playing down the sacred nature of the Catholic faith.
I am so inspired with the life of Don Bosco. His love and inspiration with mother Mary, everything will be possible with the help of mama mary. Good works and Prayer.
Even though it was sad that Don Bosco had no money for school everything he learned from working in different jobs he was able to use that knowledge to teach to the young men. Not trying to compare myself to the saint, but it brought to mind that as a very small child my grandmother would make my big cousins, who were young teenage boys, take me with them if they went out of the house. I suppose she thought they would stay out of trouble I was with them. Grandmother was partly correct because they didn't smoke and other kids wouldn't fight with them. BUT they did take me through the train yard and we took shortcuts through alleys. I learned what boys could be like and they used to remind me that girls aren't supposed to act like boys. I remember them taking turns carrying me on their shoulders and I felt like I could see forever. 😊 Now I'm almost 75 and with a shortage of volunteers for confirmation classes I have a class of 14 to 16 year old boys. Seventy years have passed since my adventures with my cousins, but boys are still the same and I know how to talk to them not as children, but young men. I really love being with my boys! God must have had this as part of His plan for my life. 😊
