My adapted version of the poem "Trees" (1918) by Joyce Kilmer using lines that reflect my cultural context.
Joyce Kilmer was an American Catholic poet, probably the last in the classical period of "Romanticism" (sentimental lyrics) and his poetry in his time was often dismissed as "just a simple verse." But this is why I love these verses - for its "simplicity."
