Having grew up in disastrous household, this was the only part of the song I didn't agree with, and spent the next decade and a half doing everything to "undo" the damages and "change" everything about myself (in addition to not bowing down, giving up, and shutting the world away). Fast forward to this day, I'm now a 30 y/o normal adult living a normal life; a blessing on its own. But deep down, this line came into full circle: I finally came into terms that I may not ever change - and that's a massive burden off my shoulder.
