I lived through this and I have to say, this is accurate except for the pride thing. It’s more that you don’t want to be the one to ruin the friendship. It’s actually fun as shit. I actually used the texting trick in episode 4 even though I hadn’t seen the anime or manga yet. In episode 6 they did a love test thing and I also absolutely fucking locked on for every question that could have anything to do with it. Plus I also have Palmer hyperhidrosis. That part isn’t really important to the story in both.
I just love how you reillustrate the story and show how the story is, and it shows how good the story really is. I just love reigen and dimple so much.
My only complaint is Ai Hayasaka's ending. She didn't get as much attention or continuing development towards the end of the series that I would've liked.
I love Samurai Champloo. Couldn't stop watching until it finish. Still listening to the ending song every day I couldn't get into Cowboy Bebop though. Watched half of it and got bored... :/
Sub anime is fucking trash.. I don't know if the Japanese don't like dub anime. But it's alooooot better than hearing all that crappy weeb trash. Atleast I can actually UNDERSTAND dub. Unlike most of you. Who think sub I better. But you are wrong. If you white. Watch the dubbed. It's better.
Pretentious - attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed I didnt hear you use any big fancy words wrong, i didnt hear you appeal to your own authority, i didn't hear anything pretentious at all in this video. You explained why the series means so much to you. Maybe you feel it's pretentious because something inside you tells you it's silly to take so much meaning from an anime. But, I will say that all the meaning you found was intentionally put there by another human for you to find. I think that's beautiful and there's nothing pretentious about it.
Not gonna lie, the chunin exam tournament arc felt more like a watching a sport since every viewer had a character to connect too with multiple ninjas there would be different people wanting different ninjas to advance.
Bro is sprinkling "i prefer sub over dub" all throughout the video so he doesn't trigger the emotionally unstable individuals that can't/won't see the pros of watching anime in dub.🤭 Better to read words often than look at the actual anime(tion) right?
May God be with you, brother. Couldn't believe it when you said you were going on a mission. It was like you said, "Thanks for watching my video, also, we have more in common than you realized!" Hope your mission is going well.
I think the only thing that bugs me is the idea on not using your powers at all being the only good route. When in reality it should just being able to selflessly use your power to help those around you. Only when a character is using thier power for someone other than themselves do they truly win.
Honestly imo, if people with superpowers were real, those powers would be theirs, and I don't like the idea of saying "Well since you have superpowers you have to dedicate your life to helping others". As long as they're not taking advantage of/hurting other people they can do whatever they like as far as I'm concered, just like with everything.
This video is amazing, as many are saying, felt amazing to watch after finishing Pluto. Also, what’s the song in minute 7:45? 😭 I used to listen to it a lot and now I can’t remember
Am an inspiring animator and one my best animations will be for basketball and I really appreciate Takehiko inoue for entertaining us with such a beloved anime.high respect for u Tekahiko
the best way is to learn japanese and watch raw. watching with subtitles is already a compromise, watching it in dub is a compromise in a compromise, nobody would care if dub watchers just admit that dubs are inferior. it doesn't matter if dub fits the setting much better, if the original is trash then it's trash, who wants to watch a fan made version instead of the actual anime.
