This channel is devoted to the hobby of plane spotting and just aviation in general in the Cleveland Area! I will try to keep upload on the weekly, and if you find my content enjoyable, please subscribe!
It's hard to get a good grasp of what the F-22 does on video. But in person, it's the only aircraft in the show that seems to dance in the sky, ignoring the laws of physics in the process. If you get a chance to watch a Raptor in person, do so.
Watching him using the thrust vectoring while doing the power loop and shooting off flares while doing it was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen! It’s like the nose was completely stationary while the rest of the aircraft rotated around it
I’ve seen many videos about the F-22 demo, and they’re always amazing. But to actually see it in person is a completely different ballgame, and by far the best demo I’ve ever seen!
I honestly don’t know. The Blue Angels take of the BKL when they’re in town. Maybe is has something to do with the takeoff length? I don’t know what the takeoff lengths are for either the F-16 or F-18
It landed yesterday, 12/16/2022 at about 16:05. I'm 3.1 miles from the north end of the runways, close to the glide path. It was impressive. Very quiet. You have to stop and watch.
Unfortunately I did not. I was trying too but the weather was not cooperating. There is another RU-vid channel that spots Cleveland and I’m pretty sure he got it though! I think the channel name is Nickflies
I’ve rarely seen an MD-11 takeoff at Cleveland (mostly because they do so at night), and to see this one take off as steep as it did was amazing! And you’re right, the A319 sounded amazing! I wish the MD-80s, 88s, and 90s were still flying though because I loved the sound those engine made!
I didn’t know it at the time, but someone told me about it shortly after I filmed the video. I grew up with the gold liveries, and didn’t pay much attention to aviation until I made these videos, so I thought it was just an older plane haha
I wish I could keep it going but I just don’t have the time to make them anymore. I will attempt to upload stuff when I am able to, but unfortunately it will not be on a consistent basis
Honestly I’m not sure why. All I can think of is that It’s a very short runway and crosses the other two larger runways. Cleveland typically operates that departures and arrivals use different runways (not in all cases, especially when one of the runways is under maintenance). It’s much more efficient to operate parallel runways verses crossing runways. That said, I’ve seen two planes land on the runway, and both of them were due to weather conditions. High crosswinds can cause smaller airplanes to use the runway
@@cleaviation4409 thank for the info! I remember seeing an old video about an Embraer ERJ 145 takeoff from runway 10/28. Now unfortunately, I can’t find the video again with is very disappointing for me. BUT a a fact about Cleveland Hopkins is that the runways used to intersect. And there was a video from 2007 that showed a united Boeing 737 taking off and the runways intersected. Also I’m very happy that ur back! I can’t wait to see more!
I think 10/28 is too short. You got the valley on the western edge. I miss the old 18/36 runway that was rarely used. I loved watching landings on that runway.
I use Flightradar24. It’s an app that live tracks aircraft and also lists the arrivals and departures for specific airports. There are other apps you can use to track flight but Flightradar24 is the easiest to use in my opinion!
Haha do it! I had a lot of fun making these videos over the years (something I learned as I was going through all the past footage trying to make this video haha). Anyway, thank you for your support! It was/is greatly appreciated!
Really sad to see you be done… You did a great job as the first channel I’ve watched for plane spotting for Hopkins. I hope to see you back in the future and have the passion be the same as it is now. Thanks again for all the work you’ve done
And thank you for the content and work you’ve provided for the channel. Much appreciated! You were able to provide some great shots of some awesome planes!
I enjoyed all of your videos. I’ve been following probably for 6 months. Thank you for all your videos and hard work put into them, sad to see that you won’t be posting anymore 😭
I’m hoping that I can sporadically post every now and then, but for now, given my circumstances, this is the unfortunate decision I’ve had to make. Thank you for your support!
I was wondering if you quit videos or was doing it under a new name. Even though my airline career was all spent at CMH , starting in the 1970s until my retirement, I have a special fondness for CLE (and the City of Cleveland itself) because I saw my very 1st B747 (UA) at CLE when jumbos were a common site at USA airports of all sizes. When you are able to post a video, be sure to keep the snappy intro.
I've been following you for months man, never thought it'd come to this, I always saw your dedication in your videos. I look forward to your future mate.
Thank you for your support! I hope this isn’t a true end and that I can upload some stuff every now and then, but for now, unfortunately, this is what I have to do. Thank you for watching!
I did enjoy all the videos what an AWESOME dedication, I'll be waiting for the videos if you upload more, once again AWESOME VIDEOS Thank you for that 😎
Thank you for the kind words! This was a bitter sweet video to make. Sweet because I had a lot of fun looking over some of my best highlights, bitter because this is the end. Like I said, I hope to be able to upload every now and then. But thank you for your support!
It is really sad to see this go. I have been following basically since the channel started YEARS ago. It was always a pleasure to see spotting videos of my old hometown's airport and I had an amazing time watching your great content. Your channel will surely be missed and I will definitely go check out the other channel you posted. Fly high man!
Thank you for your support! I wish I could keep this channel going, and I’m hoping to be able to Upload every now and then, but for now, this is the decision I had to make. Thank you again for your support. I greatly appreciate it!
The long version is in the description, but basically I just don’t have the time to make videos anymore. I hope to be able to post sporadically but I can’t upload as frequently as I used to be able to.
There are two spots I mainly use, but I think the one you are wondering about is off of Aerospace Parkway. If you drive past the IX center until it loops around the runways, there a couple parking lots right off of 6L. You just gotta go and find what spot works best for you!
