"Reviving the Islamic Spirit" convention is an attempt by the youth to help overcome new challenges of communication and integration. The convention aims to promote stronger ties within the North American Society through reviving the Islamic tradition of education, tolerance and introspection, and across cultural lines through points of commonality and respect.
Furthermore, the convention will be a celebration of our identity and Islamic faith. To help attain these ideals, the convention will feature a wide range of voices from various parts of the world.
This convention is not organized by any organization and does not engage in any ideological discourse. It showcases Islamic leadership from across the globe sharing a common platform before the widest cross section of our community. This program hopes to empower the youth across North America and inspire a true revival.
I stil don't get why people think he is saying for Palestinian to suffer in silence. His point to me is very clear, don't think by being cruel, people will listen to you, it's better to suffer in silence than be cruel. Isn't that what all scholars agree on. That doesn't mean stop posting, raising awareness etc. it means utilise your strength. Our strength is our numbers and we need to be one ummah that people look on and people want to be like us, they want to stand with us and in time they will reject Israel racist rhetoric. I have always loved and respected our Sheikh Hamza but I am so confused, he said so much however his viewpoints are still obscured by myriad of point of views that converge at Sabr- which is always the best practice- however is sabr when we sit and allow people to walk all over us? K!ll our childr3n - i believe that it is clear that the P@l€$tinians have made it clear that they do not want to sit and tolerate oppression anymore. 📣 Disappointing ! It's certainly intriguing to hear H.Y.'s perspective, albeit wrapped in layers of contradictions. One would have hoped for a concrete plan or even a hint of strategy to address the harrowing reality of genocide and ethnic cleansing in Palestine. Yet, H.Y.'s discourse seemed more focused on justifying his own stance on 'Normalization' rather than presenting actionable solutions. For someone professing to oppose Normalization, the absence of a clear plan to combat it is, let's say, quite telling. Diving into religious teachings, it's fascinating how H.Y. aligns himself with the esteemed Imams Malik and Junaid. It's common knowledge that a vast majority of Muslims follow the teachings of Ahlu Sunnah and Jamaa. However, H.Y.'s selective memory on the teachings of these Imams, especially concerning oppression and genocide, is curious. One can't help but wonder if he's cherry-picking to suit his narrative. Regarding the struggles of African Americans against white supremacy, H.Y.'s approach is equally baffling. His dismissal of 'white supremacy' and his apparent obliviousness to the numerous Quranic verses and Hadiths that condemn racism, raise more questions than answers. It seems that H.Y. has crafted a version of Islam that conveniently aligns with a softer, more compliant narrative, one that steers clear of the tough stances required in the face of grave injustices. Consequently, his authority to speak on behalf of such revered figures as Imam Malik and Imam Junaid appears rather misplaced. In summary, when the majority of one's speech is spent in a labyrinth of justifications, one has to question the authenticity of the message. Where indeed is the plan, H.Y.? Where is the commitment to truth and justice? p.s. H.Y. made a grave mistake in the basics of Aqedah, which is most probably by mistake and he doesn't mean it, he said that God is always in the "present" time, which is a grave mistake. According to the three Islamic Madhhabs in Aqedah: Ash'ari, Maturidi and Hanbali; God created the time and space, hence He does not live in the "time" nor "space", and these are, 'time" and "space" where creatures live. And God lives out of the "time" and "space". I'm sure H.Y. didn't mean it.

Israel is usurping the Palestinian land inch by inch on a daily bases since 1967, when is it the right time Shiekh Hamza? Would anyone in their right mind let a day go by without medical intervention if cancerous cells are taking over their body? There’s a tremendous price to pay make no mistake about it but name an oppressed people that haven’t gone through with it to gain their independence. What is taking place in Palestine is settler colonialism which deprives them of the luxury of waiting seven hundred years like the example you gave of Ireland. It is disappointing to see that you are unable to see any positive implications thus far. People are returning to God and nothing has touched your heart to encourage you to use your influence to uplift the people of Palestine and help them through their struggle.
