I just opend up the motor unit and pulled the impellar motor out. Its filled with black soot, smells burnt and difficult to turn by hand. New one on Ebay for $115. Has anyone went this route before?
We just moved into our new home. The previous owner has the iaqualink setup already, I believed it was a Ethernet wired setup. If I performed this wifi setup, will it lose it previous settings? Since i know very little about the pool, i am scared i would lose the previous settings.
Thank you for the video. I wish this reply may help someone else out. The propellor was clear. After checking the belts, realized my drive gear wheel was hopping around out of balance. This created a start and stop effect under a normal cleaning cycle. The small gear output of the motor was binding on the drive wheel. I swapped the left drive wheel for the right drive wheel. Cleaner is back in business. Be sure to take a close look at the gear and wheel play after removing the track belts. Placing an order for a new wheel. Device is cleaning like a champ. Cheers!
I need help! All buttons turn on except for AUTO, SERVICE, and TIME OUT. Also, filter pump and blower are off! No circulation and my pool is green. Please help!
Just got a brand new hose and connectors for my Polaris but it won't run. It seems like there isn't enough water pressure or water volume getting to the unit. I can spin the drive wheel and all the wheels move. Water comes out of every outlet in the unit and hose but kind of a trickle compared to how it usually is.
Very detailed video. Anyone aware of a similar video where the EasyTouch isn't communicating with the pump? I can turn the pump on manually, but not via the EasyTouch. My EasyTouch is communicating with the IC40.
Hey brother I have Pentair Master Temp giving an AGS error. I refer a company and they said is the board after troubleshooting and replacing the ags. Still waiting for them lol Homeowner brought a tech amd he says is the ThermoReg, AGS and igniter. I just want to pass it thru you because its a little bit confusing the igniter part if is igniting
Thank you for such great video, if I may ask a question, one of the pool actuator wires got peeled by rubbing to the zip tie that was holding it. Could I just repair the wire or do I need to replace the whole thing.
I may need your help. I have a pent air variable speed pump and a handy controller with iAqualink wireless connection so I can control it via phone. No one is able to connect these two systems and I'm having to use the variable speed pump on max only and a dummy on/off system. Perhaps you can help.
He has another video on how to wire a pentair pump to a jandy panel. Also there is another video called "Intelliflo Vs Pump to Aqualink Jandy control panel" Follow both videos. no matter what pentair variable speed pump you have the process is the same.
I want my intake and return valves to shutdown in the spa mode direction (not pool mode as your video shows) because of the elevation difference I have between my pool, spa and pumps. How can I accomplish this? with my AquaLink RS system?
There is no correct way to do this. There is a problem in the way your pool/spa valves are configured or one or more of your valve bodies has falied and/or you are missing check valves or you have a check vavle/s that has failed. I can help you out, however it is somewhat complex and I will need to see how your pool plumbing is configured and what is happening. How do I find out what type of light brand is it? My parents inground pool was put in in the mid 1980s. The whole housing/ballast need to swapped out and we already bypass the timer box and I already put a new switch in and GFCI outlet. I lost current from the switch to the ballast. The ballast terminals are corroded and I figure the wire cable has a short somewhere. I like to swap it to a LED.

Hello there! Can you link the part for the actuator and relay for this model? I have the same model and can’t seem to exactly see what the actuator looks like, if it’s just the 3 on connector or the entire wire. Thanks for the video. I want to connect the pump or some "signal" to the Pentair heat pump "relay" points. My hope is that will tell the heater to start only when the pump is running. How can i do this?

My pool has a non gfci 20amp 2 pole breaker. When I turn the breaker off the salt cell, pump and gas heater turn off. Is it normal to have all three of those wired to that one breaker? If I decide to switch out to the Pentair GFCI breaker is it just as simple as replacing it still controlling all three items? The only other breaker I have is a 15 amp single pole non gfci which controls the control panel and sends power to the GFCI receptacle on the side which then has my lights running through the GFCI receptacle. Can anyone tell me if chlorine is still being produced when the “Inspect Cell” light is flashing green? The cell has just been cleaned and if it’s at its end of life this will be the 3rd Intellichlor in 7 years! So much for paying extra for what I thought was premium quality Pentair equipment. I’ve had problems with the heater since year 2 as well.
Great video. You're the ONLY video in the entire Internet that talks about the Pentair COM Port Expansion board at 30:40 and how to connect it and how it's used. For others searching - Basically it is a shared bus whereby you can expand your one Pentair J20 COM Port to 2 (should have been more but you can daisy chain these expansion modules but it will lower some voltage depending on concurrent access). You need 2 so you can plug 1 to your Wired Indoor Panel and 2nd to your Screenlogic Wifi Adapter. Board J20 <-> Com port Expansion module J1. And J2 to Wired Indoor Panel and J3 to ScreenLogic Wifi Adapter. It's a shame Pentair charges $750 for the Screenlogic and so much for the board and does not even put proper expansion ports in it. It's like buying a PC with 1 USB port only. We need cheaper alternatives.
