We make fresh instant film for classic Polaroid cameras. We believe in making real photos, with a life after the shutter clicks. With our new line of cameras, we’re reinventing instant photography for the digital age.
The smell of the developer and emulsion on the peel film was so great. When Polaroid made the 120 Instant film back I shot so mant test exposures using it. I really miss those days with the stop watch-timer in hand.
12 years and the film is still shit, yeah, I know, I'm the bad guy here, but damn, 12 years and the film still has very poor quality control, some packs will be great, others absolutely trash, and yes, all film I'm talking about was in date
There is a way to make 10 polaroids fit in the cartridge Ive found that making the cartridge a few millimeters larger would store 1 more polaroid and reducing the size of the battery would allow for the original 10 polaroids in the cartridge Polaroid 600 cartridges use 6v batteries but the new ceramic style batteries are almost paper thin and could be worked into the cartridge to have extra frames
I don’t like the price of the film nowadays, but I didn’t like the price almost twenty years ago and I still bought the film and I will buy this film. :). I’m happy that this film exist, thank you impossible project, I know that you are not Poloroid, I like both names.
A testament to the #impossibleproject: A relative who lived on the beach of the gulf coast during Katrina lost her home and most all of her family photos. Her daughter had taken a few of them off to university for a project- so thankfully all was not lost. Even better: for several years after Katrina Polaroids from her family albums would be discovered on beach- which she learned from encounters with near strangers from her community when they would hold found photographs to her face and ask “is this you and your family?” Any photo media that could ensure the wrath of Katrina is worthy of such research and dedication.
and then we decided the spectra was impossible to work with so we rebranded to polaroid and said good bye to it forever because the project was impossible 🤷🏽♀️
I like what your are doing! I felt a lost when these type of cameras were replaced with your everyday phone. With that said, I try to recreate the Polaroid magic and use the camera as art itself. Please visit www.thevintageaddict.com
Love that camera but is very impossibile compose the frame with that viewfinder. Lost tons of shots, so sad cause i love design and Bluetooth functions.
I inherited an old polaroid after my grandmother passed away a few years ago. I was worried I'd never find film but luckily found some Impossible film! Thank you all so much for doing this!!!
Her mom struggles to be sober, and she wears this dumb shirt. Her big cause is free the nipple? What feminist-victimhood self-absorption trash priorities. Yuck!
some polaroids need some repair, but they take 5€ Polaroids like the 636, Clean them and take 140€ for it. Polaroids from the 600 series are ALLWAYs working and if it doesn't work, just buy a new (used) one. For me its just scamming people....
Question, is the lens made out of glass or plastic? I have a few Polaroid cameras but they all have plastic lenses, I already bought one 1-1 for me and just ordered another one for my daughter as a Christmas present.
@44:00 how to take Double Exposures without the app. (Continue to Hold down shutter button after first shot, turn camera off, turn camera back on for 2nd shot)
@36:35 “any studio flash sync port?” - still missing in 2019/2020 cameras 😢 All those sad unused studio flashes in the background of this video (and around the world), when all it takes is a simple 3.5mm (audio) cable port connected to the camera flash. (Note: please do NOT use non-standard 2.5mm port as in the Mint Flash Bar 2... adapters cause multiple points of failure). Come On Impossible Project / Polaroid Originals... that one simple standard feature has been needed for SO LONG! 🤷♂️
