I LOVE how you went into it with a clear open mind knowing nothihg and gave your perspective. That’s what makes these so interesting for us swifties who “know everything” or think we do 😂. I’m glad I stumbled upon your page. Will def be watching more!!!! 🎉
“Maybe they shouldn’t leave their shades open then if they don’t want anyone looking through their windows - that’s their fault, not yours” 😂 yeeeees! As deranged as it is, it KILLS me that I Look in People’s Windows doesn’t have a bridge because it’s such a good encapsulation of that desperate part of heartbreak.
The 1830s was a time of the most famous romantic poets Keats, Byron, Wordsworth. And then Emily Dickinson was born 1830. And the place she is describing in The Lakes is an actual place in England, which include Lake Windermere which she mentions “Windermere peaks” and “words worth” where those romantic poets used to go and write. I think Taylor fancies herself a romantic poet (and she definitely is a 21st century romantic poets). I believe she probably went to Lake Windermere to write seeing as she spent lots of time in England with Joe.
Girl! You are so fun to watch! You are spot on with your interpretations. You see it! So smart! You need to educate some of the other reacters who don't get a fraction of what you're getting! 😅 ❤ It's literally chapters from her real-life book of her 6 year relationship and losing the love of her life, her tour and how he couldn't handle all that it would entailed, then her meeting and dating Trav. Absolutely! The stages of grief are not linear. They don't happen one time each. They can be all over the place and come back a million times.
Me holding my breath while we talk about the 1830s line lol in my opinion it's not anything people need to be upset about and people are romantasizing this time period a lot in media right now and kind of forgetting what it was really like and she's saying I'd like to live there... Or maybe not cause it kind of really sucked 😂
I love Anti-Hero. I also feel like people take the “sexy baby” to a weird place (probably bc of conversations in today’s social media sphere, whether they’re real happenings or conspiracy theories) but I thought of it as referencing her height compared to others in the celeb circle. She’s been insecure about her height before, being 5-11 surrounded by so many shorter celeb women. Also the music video depicts her as a giant and all the beautiful people around the table are the size to her that a baby is compared to an adult.
