This is a LOOOONNNGGG one😭🤦🏾♀️You guys wanted the deluxe though so it’s your fault!!🤣 I hope y’all enjoy the video! I love you guys so much.. thank you for the constant support🥹❤️. Subscribe and stick around for future Ariana reactions!💕💕
@@aidosdeathdos i think it kinda makes sense for to do other albums before sweetener!! As much as it’s a fan favorite, it’s just that, fans love it cause they know her voice and her trajectory, the gp?? Not so much because it’s so vastly different than anything she’s really done before
the love language lyric "i ain't tryna sign no lease, i'm just gon' make you my home" makes more sense when you realize that her ex-husband who the song is about is a real estate agent !! she's so unserious LMFAO
i feel like since sweetener, her albums are definitely aligning more with her personal life, and you can hear her emotional growth throughout each album based on what she was going through at the time. sweetener is the album that came out after the terrorist bombing at her concert in manchester, she broke up with mac, started dating pete, got engaged to pete, and before mac died. thank u next is after mac dies, after she breaks up with pete, and is going throughhh it. thank u next was released like 6 months after sweetener and is definitely her therapy album that helped her get through that period. positions, she's definitely in a healthier, happier place, but is still having doubts...and you can hear it too.
this album is my favorite ever from her! the pen, the instrumentals, the vocals just WOW! i could listen to this album day and night for the rest of my life
as someone obsessed with the live performance of my hair and rarely ever listens to the studio ver i was NOT ready for how much better the live version is omg 😂
I loooooovvveee the sound of 'my hair', and i love the low note at the end of "don't you be scared". Like ugh that part is so underrated. And the live version goes haarrdd, not just because of the whistles but the confidence and attitude on that performance is 🔥
i really like the way you talk about sequencing i got the storytelling behind it all! for someone who was not into Ariana, you got the line pretty clear! Safety net is my favoriteeee ever
The Album Trio as a whole tells a story. Sweetener is about the superficial positivity after tragedy. Thank U Next is that positivity being stuck down again and cracks were exposed in that positivity. And positions is the healing.
I freaking love your authenticity. A lot of creators tend to lose that when it comes to “reactions” to get reactions…u have a way of making people feel like they are sitting across from u experiencing together. It’s dope 💪🏾
amazing reaction as always !!! i find it so impossible to have favs on this album, but the ones always on repeat for me are : just like magic, safety net, nasty, obvious, pov, test drive & worst behavior ♡
THE MY HAIR REACTION LMAOOO i remember when i heard it the first time, i really had to take a break like she's insane... gosh i hope you react to the live version cause she completely destroyed that
you NEEEEEEED to react to her live performances for this album and really any album but ESPECIALLY my hair she hit the whistles LIVE, every live performance from this album though was absolutely amazing i would love to see you do a video on those!!
32:34 fun fact: my hair was actually meant to be on thank u, next but it didn't fit the vibe of that album so she scrapped it and now is on Positions!!
found you from your thank you, next reaction and i just love your vibe!! so fun and i’m so excited for future ariana reactions or just reactions to other music in general 🫶🏼
Oh how I love your reactions so much especially the end comparison I love how you know so little about her life yet you can still make accurate connections and understand parts of the story she is telling. Just a little album context her first 3 albums were in B&W then when sweetener was being teased the photoshoots were originally upright and gradually more light came into the picture before we ended up with the whole peach vibe and her being upside down. Then following thank u, next was also upside down but in a much more sorrow way. Ari has said she has done this because her life felt upside down and during sweetener she tried to believe the light is coming (recovering from Manchester) but then after the passing of Mac and calling off the engagement with Pete Davidson came along she accepted that the light isn't here and that she needs to acknowledge that before she can reach light. This is why thank u, next and sweetener were released within like 6 months of each other because her life had changed so fast.
My Hair is such a BOP! I still have not recovered from that song to this day. When I saw her upload a live version? Girl- when I tell you I almost passed out ☠️ Remains to be my fav track from her. The lyrics and vibes are so C.U.N.T. partnered with amazing bass, melodies, instrumentals?? GIRL, THE STRINGS?!?!? THE HORNS??!?! Obssessed
Another amazing reaction. Loved how u broke down the lyrics and how you expressed your opinions. This is my fav album of hers. Pov makes me cry every single time. Such a beautiful song.
This is my favorite album and era of hers so far from what I listened to (But idk since Eternal Sunshine is coming) It is or if not one of the happiest moments in her life. Your reactions are amazing as always, you understood most of them well enough, this is definitely a love and healing album, especially after TUN (Positions released after TUN, and yes TUN was released in 2019 and Positions in 2020) Just wanna give some additional insight into some songs, think it would be fun to know and better. (And confirmations) -Most of the songs of this album are also based on her ex-husband Dalton Gomez whom she divorced last year and the scandal as you know happened. It's actually a bit sad, she seemed so in love with him back then, as mentioned in West Side she was willing to marry him which she did but it still didn't work out. And that's coming to the line of Off the Table "Is love completely off the table?" this line is really becoming really real with the divorce and all that shi which is sad. -You're actually right with Off the Table which most reactors don't get on the first listen, The perspective of the Weeknd in this song is Dalton talking to Ari, it's cool cause in the song it's like their both talking to each other. -I want to explain six thirty more cause I actually love the concept of it -Six thirty is the actual time, 6:30. The line "Are you down?" This is signifying when it becomes 6:30 in the clock both hands point downwards (Ariana's smart as hell took me a while to get that actually💀) -Six Thirty is also about her being as the line says "I know I be on some bullshi, know I be driving you crazy" basically telling the guy (Dalton) how much she can be and if he's still "Down" for her/is he still willing to take on this relationship with her, hence the lyric "Are you down?". This also speaks for the guy's side as the song tells us that he can also be Crazy and be on some bullshi but is she still down for him? -My hair, this song I LOVE as well, and I want to just talk about it more. This song is actually much more intimate and I guess vulnerable for Ari as y'know Ariana is known for her iconic ponytail. But fans know her pony mostly consists of hair extensions cause her real hair which is big and curly is damaged from all the hair dye she had to do for her role in Victorious as Cat Valentine. That's why she always wears a ponytail cause it's the only hairstyle that works for her, and also the reason why her hair is such an intimate part of hers as nobody really gets to see her natural locks as often, only her family and friends do. So she's basically opening herself up to the guy more and allowing him to see her hair when she normally doesn't let people see it. Can't wait for Eternal Sunshine, it's probably gonna eat like always. And I do agree that this album will have positive vibes like Positions or even more cause she is actually in her best life right now. She's the happiest I've ever seen besides the Positions era, and I do expect some divorce songs here and there but with positive thinking instead of negative. Cause I feel like this is a repeat of history, as said in the line of Positions "I just hope I don't re-peat history" which she sadly did (Sweetener-Thank u next, Positions-Eternal Sunshine) with everything that's happening in her life right now it's very similar with what she went through in the Thank u next era with people bashing on her and judging her (The thank u next and Yes and mv parallels as well and the fact Sweetener was supposed to be her healing album and now Positions is also considered her healing album) But the difference this time is that she has a more positive healthy mindset than before, which is great for her. Really excited for March 8 and what Miss Grande will give us next!
Thank you for all this info, I love this. Yea I didn’t catch those six thirty references, and I didn’t know all that stuff about her hair😮. I’m super excited for eternal sunshine, and hearing what she has to say about her life now
@@neeceexxher hair is actually healthy now as victorious was yeeears ago 😂 but yes her natural curly hair is intimate to her cause not many people get to see it
I definitely thought Dalton & Ariana were end game I feel so lost on wtf happened cause they seemed so happy and I was so happy for her after Mac but it’s really seeming like he may have been her soulmate cause she really stuck it out with him for years anyone after him it just gave “I don’t got it in me to try” but then with Dalton it seems like she had it back in her to want to try and make a relationship work and actually have a real connection I mean they got married and so it’s like Thank U Next her only wanting to get married once… thank god this song is a hit
off the table is my FAVORITE song, and i always thought the "wait for the next life" line was referring to reincarnation. or waiting for their souls to find eachother in the next lives where they meet. but i love your theory as well too💖✨
Can’t wait for your Sweetener reaction girl! It’s literally a mix of pop and groovy pharell sounds, top two from Ariana for sure! And can’t wait for Eternal Sunshine as well, we gonna have a blast for sure
I love your reactions! Off the table has a lot of references of other songs. When The Weeknd sings “I can love you harder than I did before” is a reference to their song ‘love me harder’. He also sings: “I was haunted by the hills” is a reference to his song ‘the hills’ which was apparently about her. They both do these double entendres in their songs. That’s why I think you’ll love The Weeknd as well ♥️
"i ain't tryin' to sign no lease i'm just gon' make you my home" she is basically saying leases are temporary, homes are forever. she is saying she wants this man. it is also a double entendre as her then boyfriend/fiancé, now ex-husband, who the song is about, is a real estate agent. also, side note.. .i feel like i saw 4 different personalities in the 34+35 (remix) part lmao i loved it !
37:37 for some context: she was recoding many ideas for whistle adlibs, and i think Victoria outside the booth encouraged her to keep going, and in one of the takes (the one on the final track) Ariana says "this bitch gon' make me haemorrhage" as a joke bc she had tried many whistle ideas and was getting audibly tired 😂
just like magic was my favorite from the first listen and after 3 years, its still my favorite. also if you like the trap beats, dangerous woman album is your girllll
I definitely think you should check out her co-writers and producers on this album and thank u, next’s work (they are also singers) Victoria Monét Tayla Parx Leon Thomas She’s actually collared with them since her first album and I think “eternal sunshine” might be the first album we might not see Victoria credited in Ariana’s entire album discography😭 (the only project she’s not on is the Christmas Kisses EP)
you should do a vid where you listen to her collaberations on songs that arent in her albums (like 'focus, ' i don't so drugs', 'quit'), im not sure if you have done a video similar to this, but just an idea
also yes, there are a lot of mac miller easter eggs in this album🥺off the table is the main one, but also “take my pen and write some love letters to heaven” from just like magic is about him, as well as “heaven sent you to me” at the beginning of positions 😭 there’s more as well but those are the big ones. i know eternal sunshine is going to have a shit ton too because eternal sunshine of the spotless mind was macs fav movie…there’s a chance she might be trying to close the chapter but who knows 🥲 poor little baby
i’m obsessed with your channel ever since thank u next, u got some weeknd albums to listen to next girlll!! thank u for ur silly and kind personality fr fr
Positions is truly an AMAZING album and NEEDS to be recognized and appreciated for its absolute beauty, its definitely Ariana's best album and if i must say, one of the best albums put out this decade! ❤👑
Off the table (for me at least) is basically the Positions version of ghostin. Wanting to move on from mac (while continuing to love him of course) and find love again but finding it really difficult. And the lyric “cause i ain’t her and you ain’t him, thankfully, but it’s gon be hard to let someone else in again” makes me cry every time cause when they broke up she said something like she started to feel more like a mother than a partner so essentially she’s saying she’s happy she is not in that situation where she feels like that but she still loves him a lot and it’s gonna be difficult for her to find that love in anyone else 😭
I think Ari is aware of Hinduism and in off the table she’s saying she’ll see him in the next life cause the soul will continue to exist but in different bodies
I’m loving you’re reaction to off the table A lot of the fandom calls it her weakest song on the album and I can’t understand that. But I tend to tell myself a lot of her fans saying this are little kids who haven’t gone through heartbreak like this
I never understood why people said sweetener was the best album. I think thank u next and Positions were so much better and told a more cohesive story. Please do and “dangerous woman” and “yours truly” next!!
Ugh just finished, so glad you loved it!! You seems to really grasp what the album was all about, finding love and light and happiness. I feel like so many people hate on it cause they want the mega pop star Ariana and not who she actually is/the music she wants to make. Can’t wait to see more!!!
you should try listening to Madison Beer :,))) and her debut album, Life Support or Silence Between Songs, they’re both soo goodd :)) she also has a small EP called As She Pleases. but definitely recommend her albums !! 🤍🤍
