@gillianilianawhite5076: I have experienced bad women while I have been authentic and a man, only to have women ghost me run away and it hurts. I feel worthless and that women don't really know how to be. I believe a strong woman makes a strong man and vise versa. Only through each other do we become one. I love your podcast Gillian and Michael! Helpless romantic here, waiting to climb the tower for my queen!! Please advise.... More context: I am an electrical instructor, I love teaching and being and serving people. My mother and father are DEAF, I was adopted by a MAN who's father was an immigrant with a 3rd grade education. And he took me in and raised me as his own. I had to take care of him till he passed away at 85 from brain cancer. I took care of my grandparents who suffered from dementia till they passed. When I tell women that I am dating who I am and where I have come from, they laugh at me or think I am a low beta etc. I don't know what is wrong with me or what I have done in my life. I take care of my mom currently while teaching men and women to become them thei best selves. Thoughts????
The cheating and wanting to be with a lot of people is not just BM ( Black men ), it's modern social norms... The "elders" don't realize whats going on at younger age levels. Also women are not faultless, they have some of the blame because modern day women in the states are cheating more than ever. I do prefer your "good relationship" viewpoint, it is just not the majority in modern society. There are alot of relationships were they don't even like or respect each other.
100% agree with you both. When you have someone who is with you 100% and you with them 100% keep them. I've heard so many ppl say the dating world is horrible. People aren't telling the truth about themselves but except you to. I've seen relationships destroyed and they were together for years. Keep that person who down for you and make them #1 in your life.
Ok I have to laugh I was a great poet in 12th grade so I know what a spinster is it's been a very long time since I have written poetry so I had to make sure I was correct but I recognized the word wow!! Lol!! At this point that's my life not by choice LMFAO!!
This conversation brings to mind the proposal from the movie High Fidelity because it's all about the maturity it takes to truly love someone. Chasing a ton of women you're attracted to isn't about love or even reality. It's a fantasy you're chasing that's not at all rooted in the daily choices, depth, and meaning that a real relationship between two people has to have. The fantasy is the perfect image of a person that ignores all of the mundane realities that can never actually exist. Being a real adult is about recognizing that love is a choice you repeatedly make, and you'll never have that in any capacity if you only pursue illusions.
INCOIMING: LONG POST Im one of the ones that had been raised and schooled by playas, pimps, and a bunch of ppl of the streets since my early yrs, and find myself conflicted in todays society , but before i dive in, I wanna extend my gratitude and share my respect to you and your wife.. i love what you 2 are doing and have been able to conquer and achieve all while sharing a journey together.. love it Alright... Im in my early 30s w/o kids and i have always been upfront with females to a fault since jr high... and as you said many are just down for the ride when you have certain characteristics and a charisma about yourself,... i had a chip right in my front tooth from the age 9 to 30 and never had a problem attracting a female or going after the ones i wanted, so here i am today torn in between the life that l been living, and the life i can be living... at 24 i started soul searching and realized a lot things, such as why i always believed i was supposed to have more than 1 female in my life... around age 11/12 my brother's girlfriend's little sister who was 14 and their cousin who was 16 would come over, and the 2 would touch and kiss each other, touch me, and take me by the hand and place it where they wanted me to touch them and eventually that led to us being sexual, and me asking all the females after that time "were they like girls too?" and because i had that experience with those 2 girls starting out, that was the foundation of sex for me, so when i was reflecting, my answer to the why did l believe i was meant to keep more than 1 woman was "youre the exception" that was my way of justifying it (Ego lol) and it going how it went my brain deemed that as normal, which we know it isnt... in this stage of my life lm not too pressed about women liking other women in a sexual since, l personally enjoy having a few different women that genuinely care about me and l really make a difference in their lives by being of service... I think about things like what if i get sick or something happens and l dont have that person right there at the time, then what? and i also factor how weird the dating world is getting day by day, but to my defense lm not the kind of guy running around his pants down out here either, lm very disciplined when it comes to controlling my hormones and emotions and thing of that nature... the scene is tough tho cause on the surface lm perceived a certain way do to the charm, mysteriousness, and/ or by being mesmerizing at times, then inside lm full of passion, creativity, love, resources, knowledge, just full of amazing energy that l place my value on when it comes to my qualities that l work so hard on, but the dating scene now doesnt really value that, (its having an album where each song is unique and you know the artist took their time to make the entire album what it is, but the listener is ok with just a few songs and not the entire body of work )so in order for me to not feel caged in l have different females that l am certain parts of myself with cause l havent come across too many that appreciate me in my entirety, but most of all l still spend a lot time instilling value into myself most definitely... Thats my perception from my perspective... Peace and take care.. much love
Brother Mike, I'm sorry but I have to HUMBLY & respectfully disagree with you on this. What you are saying is an American ideology. Africans, even today, practice polygamy. I'm a Nigerian man. In my custom, if your wife can't give you a baby, by the traditional law, you are free to bring in another wife to give you children. It's in our nature as African men to procreate (multiply as the Bible said). Since the beginning of time, every man of power had multiple wives and concubines. Even in the Bible, most men that found favor with God, had many, many wives. As I said, it's America and Western world that came up with this- one-man, one-woman ideology. We are Africans (though you were born here) our true history (even in 2024) allows men to have multiple wives. Kevin was right. Perhaps in your circle, successful brothers or men in general don't cheat, however, outside your circle, brother, most dudes with paper have many females. From successful actors to athletes to government officials to businessmen. Didn't ex-President get his private s*cked in the office? That's just a fact. Even the married ones have side chick(s) or mistresses. That's just a fact my dear brother. Not saying it's right, however, men are men. That's how we were created. Also, it's NOT just a black man's thing. It's a man's thing. White men, Hispanic men, Asian men, middle eastern men, etc...men are wired to chase women since the beginning of human history, period. BTW, I rocks with you and your beautiful black wife. I have reacted to one of; Luv Strong Podcast Episodes. RESPECT brethren.
Dope! My ex-wife ALWAYS knew my movements because my Prophet Muhhamad sallahi alahi wa sallam taught us our wives should never be in the wind-She should never have a doubt about our relationship. Never felt less of a man but more of a man following a Prophet sallahi alahi wa sallam who was an actual factual husband.. Great episode - It seems like your ex-fiancee was the one who helped us see y'all trip to Africa. That is a really cool thing you guys did! ♥♥
When I was a child, I was taught that man means mind and woman, which means womb of mind. Giving them the ability to dignify themselves above the animal natures in himself and the nature of all animals.
God bless you both. Awesome (and rare, unfortunately) to see this type of relational transparency and corporate integrity in a marriage. I really appreciate that the two of you have found a safe place/person with whom you can be your true selves and feel a high level of acceptance from your spouse. So grateful to see that! Keep doing what you’re doing because the ripple effect is evident; and a lot of people need to hear this message in an artificial world.
Great conversation With you and your wife Gillian. Glad you spoke on this topic Mike! and Gillian...WHO the heck was crawling back there behind yall at 32:02 thinkin they wasnt seen on camera?!!🤣🤣I Luv it. so un scripted!
Haha! You caught that! 😂😂😂 Truth is, our gardener showed up with his loud ass blower and our podcast director sneaked out by crawling on the floor to go tell the gardener to stop making noise until we finished! 🤷🏽♀️🤣🤣🤣
@@gillianilianawhite5076 Lmao Yeah At first i was like, "wait, they got a pet dog creepin by?🤔"... Naw, Brotha looks into the camera by mike😑😂 hilarious!👌
Great episode. 1 thing tho, im not sure exactly how much of Kevin u watched but he was NOT saying men should be that way, he specifically said high value men will most likely be that way, he said MANY times that if u want a loyal man then get the regular job men but they NEVER wanted that do THEN he would say well u might as well get used to sharing cause that's the most likely outcome. He never said men should cheat, had to be a short clip takin things outta context.
My favourite couple thanks for what you're doing! Andrew Tate, Mike Rashid and many like them need to see and hear this. The two of you are treasure and role models to this world and someone's big brother or big sister that they wish they have, keep up the great work!
