911 Dispatchers and Railroad Dispatchers should work together and communicate with each other, if an emergency develops and the dispatcher sees that the route to the Emergency Scene from the Police Station, Fire Station or Ambulance Quarters requires passing over a Crossing or multiple crossings then in that case they should notify railroad operators right away and the railroad operators should advise all trains in the area or any trains expected to pass through the area to either temporarily stop until the Emergency Vehicles pass through all the crossings and get where they need to be or they should advise the trains to at least reduce as much speed possible until instructed otherwise, Trains can wait, Peoples Lives can’t and they’ll be depending on Emergency Services as quick as possible and obviously the nearest available Emergency Personnel are no good to the people who are in need of help if they get hurt on the way to the call!

At 7:27 - 7:45, Sly Fox just deliberately parked his car on the crossing and let the oncoming train smash it! I don't think it just "up and dies" there. Either Sly Fox foolishly wanted to see what happens when a train hits a vehicle, or he could've been trying to commit insurance fraud! :P Cars usually don't explode like that when a train hits them.
I know that very well. That’s because tanker trucks usually contain gasoline or propane both of which are highly flammable. In short if the train were to hit the tank it would explode thus not only killing the truck driver but also killing the engineer and anyone who is in the front cab. The only other vehicle that engineers are scared off colliding with is a school bus which could be loaded with children.
i stoped my fully loaded 73000 lb gravel truck at a blind crossing with no lights at the crossing my truck is facing down hill at the crossing i was a tenth of second ready to release the brakes fortunately i heard the the last whistle not the first two whistles the train was shorter than usual with about 10 freight and two passenger cars at the end of it. also he was going a lot faster than what they usually travel there this is close to where i garage my truck thank the lord that that i heard the whistle absolutely no visibility for more than 100 feet down the tracks very glad to see the new gates and lights there 39 years of trucking almost ruined my good driving record two weeks before i retired . i still stop look and listen in my auto that was so close love those train horns !
I remember before the end of 8th grade some guy by our school got hit by a Metra train. The school was/is legit right next to a large train track (The Harlem Avenue Train), and we heard/saw the helicopters and everything. For about a month we were forced to engage in train safety discussions, an assignment, a graded project, and EVERYONE had to watch this presentation in the gym.
