Its only really used for more torque when trying to get out of say something like mud/sand/wet snow. Ive also used it on smaller less HP vehicles to help me get up steeper grades.
For sure. For this to work you would just keep the short 3.5mm headphone extension cable and install the USB extender so you have a usb port and a 3.5mm out for your headphones.
I see your truck was turned off during this process. Does it matter at what point the truck is turned on, before or after shifting into 4WD? Serious question, I just came upon an 86 Bronco that I’m restoring.
The truck was running actually but the mic didn't quite pick it up. I'm not 100% sure about shifting into 4WD while its off but I see no harm in it if the (manual) hubs are locked in and the vehicle is not moving. In the winter I regularly leave the hubs lock due to lots of snow and not much driving, this allows my to stop, put the vehicle into neutral and quickly shift into 4wd. Keep in mind that leaving your hubs locked will increase wear and tear and lower gas mileage. Just a heads up I would never attempt to shift a vehicle with an automatic (push button) 4wd engage system without the vehicle running.
