I agree the movie fell flat. The premise was interesting, and they slowly showed us that it could reach heights, but it fell flat. It didn't take risks. The movie was almost a slow burn, but after finishing it, I would say that it was just 'slow.
Also will a family of jason his wife and son spawn like the amounts jason did, i guess that get rid of the jason issue as there will be enough to go round for all of them😆
Great recap as always. I was happy overall with the finale, the 1st half was a little slow but the 2nd half pretty gripping! I thought it was a decent twist ‘evil’ Jason saving the day - a bit of redemption. Yes will be great if you do a season two theory video, keep up the good work 👌
It was a mixed bag finale for me. On the down-side, there are too many loose ends. Not just for items (like Amanda & Ryan) that would be resolved in the next season; but, things like what happened at the end of Blair’s scene in the house. It’s pivotal, because that’s how Evil Jason found Jason1, Daniela, and Charlie. So, to NOT explain how Evil Jason & Blair decided to work together. BIG issue. On the plus side, they did set up good storylines…for Amanda & Ryan1. So, the next season should NOT be about Jason & his family, BUT about Ryan & Amanda. Maybe they will attempt to use the entire Multi-Verse traveling experiment, building upon the mistakes that Evil Jason did-but for Good. Finally, one quibble: Amanda doesn’t recognize Ryan. But, she’s the Amanda from Jason2’s world-where Ryan DID exist. In fact, Leighton in Evil Jason’s World killed Ryan; which is why Amanda recused Jason1, and started their trip into the Box. SO, it raises the question: is the Amanda we see meeting Ryan a Clone Amanda? A Clone Amanda would have been created in the Box-just like Jason clones were born from Jason1 opening the Box. In Empathy World, Amanda opened the Box, so she would have (unintentional) creating a Clone of herself. Bottom line: next season should be Amanda & Ryan-not Jason & Fam, or Evil Jason and the Clones. AND, yes, Anthony: I’d love for you to do a Season2 Theories Video-especially if you include the one I just provided.😊😊
Good call out with Amanda not knowing who Ryan is. You are right she knew Ryan in her universe because Leighton asked her to call him 🤦♂ I totally forgot about that, weird. Maybe she was making sure that it was her Ryan when she asked him "Do you know me?" Who knows but I agree I want to see Ryan and Amanda moving forward. And the season 2 predictions video will be up next week 😏
Dark Matter was a success is not the same as constellation situation, if we not get a second season probably because they don't want to do beyond the book, only have 1 book, but this finale have a lot of differences a lot of opens things to resolve indicating a second season
@@TheAntagonistx in the scene that Jason and family close door in the Box. The rest is all new. Jason 2 died is not alive too so the show is open for a season 2
Hope there's a season 2, but if there isn't, I'll be ok. I knew they'd end up going in the box because what other choice do they have with all the hundreds of Jasons all in the same reality. Now, what happens when people start noticing there's 100s of the same looking guy in the neighborhood? lol. Loved this show & love your vids. Thanks for sharing your thoughts & theories!
I thought the same thing, when Brie comes in the house. No way I would just go upstairs to investigate! Jason should've waited for her downstairs. What if she had called the police? That would've been some awkward explaining to do :)
I liked the ending. For the most part, good triumphed over evil. Hopefully Jason 1 and family get a fresh start. That’s hard to imagine as any world should have them already in it, but perhaps there’s an alternative world loop hole. I’m intrigued about Amanda and Ryan. Why did they meet? Will they travel? It’s not actually that important to me. Layton as well. Seems to have evolved but beyond that, I’m not really curious. Season one was Jason 1’s journey and Ep. 9 wrapped it up the only way possible.
Constellation is cancelled??? Oh noo! I loved that show! As for Dark Matter, I loved it from the get go, but I must say I found this finale a bit underwhelming. From what I read, it is a standalone series with no more seasons, but I really hope there's a season 2, although I don't think there's much more to tell about the Jason, Daniela and Charlie storyline.
And that's it! Season 1 of Dark Matter is a wrap, let me know what you think about the show so far. Thanks for the support. What show would you like me to talk about next?
I feel for you. I have learned that the audio description numbering system of the characters is based on their order of appearance, not which jason world number they are from. Like Jason 1 world or Evil Jason World etc. Cuz Dawn 3 is in Jason 1's world. Dawn 2 was the one we saw 2nd when she shot amanda and killed her while Jason 1 and Amanda 1 were watching from around the corner of the box before escaping back into the box and going to another dimension.
Don't worry about us being confused, we've navigated Westeros & Essos from Meereen to Braavos, from the Vale to the Twins or Castarly Roc, following dialogues in Dothraki & High Valyrian, knowing every detail about even minor characters, families and places, bring on the Jasons, we'll be fine 😅
i noticed jason who had crash accident while driving with danila and charlie had his hand out of the window with a yellow rubber band on his finger like the original jason, is danila with a copy ? cuz they hide his hand when he hug charlie also when he is under the chicago cloud gate ...im totaly confused if she is with the real one or not
Possibly each Jason that splits off via each decision becomes more diluted and weaker. But immediately you have to take into account a whole lifetime worth of Jason's already existing in different alternate universes... so that kind of nullifies that theory. I'm just surprised half these Jason's got got, seeing as they're a tad messed up.... but somehow had a clear enough mind to will themselves back to this universe. I'm thinking: the box; that's where to go, then on to Pleasantville Chicago. Or: Season 2 (Please).
All Jasons are legitimate, including Jason 2. But box Jasons are relevant/real to our world since they all share the same experiences upon entering the box that first time. Jason Jupiter got lucky since he got to Daniella first and convinced her to trust him. This is exciting and a very morally grey place for Daniella, Jason Jupiter, and all the box Jasons.
It really does seem like Jason1 is the level headed nonviolent person and Jason2 is the opposite. Also Jason1 probably learned from the different worlds making contact at the house isn't a good idea
Don't sweat last week, dude. Your reviews are interesting & you are appreciated. As for episode 8... 1-Remember, Evil Jason set up a video camera outside the box. Assuming it's still there, it's a way to determine how many Jason1 clones have arrived at this universe. AND, if the Box is re-sealed, it stops any more Jasons from arriving. 2-Prediction/Major Twist: Jason1 and Evil Jason unite to get rid of (kill? put back in the box?) ALL the other Jasons. They do so, and rid this world of the Jason clones. They then decide to co-exist in this world, with Evil Jason relocating to another country. One last thing, that we may have over-looked in episode 8: the Jason who smoked the cigar, got arrested, met with Daniela at the jail, and later at the Chicago Bean may NOT be Jason1. Remember, Jason1 had a hotel room. Why, after meeting the clone in the bar, would Jason1 decide to sleep out in the open, on a park bench, rather than return to his hotel room? Bottom line: Daniela may have reunited with the "wrong" Jason--a clone, not Jason1. We'll see next week.
You are great. This video is well planned out and well analysed. All is structured. Easy to fallow, no haste conclusions from the thick air. Very logical.
Geeze Anthony me bad. like you I’m just a normal person and I missed it too!. No worries there were too many Jason’s in the episode. I found it confusing I knew there were many but, oh well it happens. You’re my favorite RU-vidr!😊
learnt from another comment that Jason 2 (evil) has always taken the compound before entering the box...where as Jason 1 fails to follow that rule (unknowingly).
What’s with the money? How do Jasons get cash? Why is there different types of US currency in the locker? My guess is the locker is the key to how this season wraps. The only remaining ampules are there. So, once Daniella tells that to 1, he’ll head there and meet up with 2. The showdown. Meanwhile Ryan and Amanda show up because we know she has 2 ampules. So in a way, the keys to where this is all headed are follow the money and follow the ampules. By the way, did 10 give 1 money so we knew we are in the right world? It kind of looked like the cash we are used to. And, wasn’t it 2 who mentioned something about money between worlds?
