Private music production/recording/mixing studio in the south of Holland.
I am a Musician's Institute educated guitar player in a band called 'Awash' and have been using my home studio mostly for producing tracks for that band in recent years. Over the years I've done a lot of stuff related to music and have picked up lots of tricks and ways of the trade.
On this channel I intend to post videos about the broader range of music related subjects that I'm currently involved with and am going through. This could be related to music production with Cubase, guitar playing, band related subjects, gear and anything else that I might come across on my journey.

Question: What is the best practice to lengthen or add a silent leader when the project has already been processed with little or no leader and includes track and group automation?
my windows 11 pro does not recognize the Eucon driver to protect the equipment and the driver does not appear in the device window in Cubase. do you know any solution?
this is a terrific video. i have a quick question though. I want to use my ssl uf8 to set up a button that will create tracks with my ssl channelstrip automatically in the first insert. whats the best way to accomplish this?
I know this video was a while ago, but I think the easiest way to accomplish the opening question is to use the visibility agent "Show Channels that are Connected to the First Selected Channel" and the only thing that remains on the mixer is what's connected to the bus/FX return
2 BIG negatives on this plugin, 1- you can only stream to 1 person at a time, i need to stream this to 2 or 3 people at same time, as my client has multiple employees who'd like to listen and collaborate 2- the mic is only 1 way, only sender can talk to receiver, the receiver has to be on telephone, or another app to talk to sender, (Assuming receiver does not have a DAW) add these 2 much needed features, and i'm sold, till then, i can't get onboard
Do you have experience with Eucon/Avid Dock & S1? If so, how would you compare the SSL system to Eucon? I know SSL works via Mackie. The best part of Eucon is being able to control plugin parameters and custom map them. This lets you almost throughout the mixing session have hands off the mouse. Does SSL support plugin control (not only from SSL but also other vendors), and is it possible to map parameters to chosen knobs? Thanks.
I have limited experience with Eucon. Only used the app to control Cubase. The ‘new’ SSL 360 plugin does allow you to control other plugins as well and map their parameters to the standard SSL EQ/compressor controls. But those knobs are most easily accessible on the UC1.
Good and down to earth review, thank you. How do you find the HF dispersion to be? Some say it's quite narrow with the ADAM tweeter, making the sweet spot smaller.
Thank you! Your video is great and explains RipX clearly. Could you please create another complete tutorial on how to clean and improve an AI-generated song using RipX?
On the mix comparisons, Mixhead sounded a bit darker than the ATR102. I have used the ATR102 for years now, but picked up the Mixhead during the intro pricing as I really liked the HF boost in particular. It can boost things a lot without sounding harsh. The drive is not as flexible unfortunately. It seems to distort in a fairly unpleasant way, but they just updated it with oversampling, so need to get familiar with the new features!
This f/x trick is built in to various name plugins. I don't myself like the ticking sound that comes up when the consonants get faster, so I would gate that -- and do in my own use of it...
HI! Can you hear a slight hiss from the tweeter? I do hear it from 5 or even 7 feet slightly with my a77h, it"s like a white noise, and level of hiss arises with rising volume control at the back, and drops with lower volume. Nothing connected to speaker. Could you be so kind to check, does your pair hisses to?
@@PatrykPuc-d9h yes there is a very slight hiss which my previous Adam monitors had as well. When the volume is set at the calibrated monitor level it does not bother me hough.
@@LanewoodStudiosHey, and does hiss gets louder when you change volume at the back of monitor? I appreciate your answer. Mine do hiss audibly form over 3 meters, it is not very loud, I quess some people with diffrent hearing, might not notice it. Anyway for me it is distracting, so I arranged exchange for new pair with adam audio. I hope the will not hiss. All best.
Regarding the monitoring output, there is already a function integrated into the generator test that allows you to disable the left or right channel. There is an output tab if you look closely ;)
@@LanewoodStudios By the way, a function that is not talked about enough is the zoom memory, do you know it? It has existed for several versions of Cubase now and it is a function that is too little known in my opinion. It would be good to refer to it in one of your videos perhaps! Personally I want to make a video just for that myself. But you would do it better than me I think ;) Example: At 2.54 minutes there is a guitar segment that I want to change. I know that I have a better version at another point in the song, say at 24 seconds. I press a key to memorize the place (2.54), I will look for a segment that suits me at 53 seconds for example and I only have to press the memory return key to immediately return to 2.54 minutes. It is super practical. No need to scroll and find the place. Not bad huh :) ?
@@Andy-mm5ff ah yes. This song is actually part of a special longer term project for the channel. So when I make a video about that you will hear the chorus 😉.
Thanks for the comments. Did you try the cpr with Cubase 13 or another version? I’m also on PC by the way. As for the dB meter, I’m on iPhone myself so tried to find a suitable one for Android but didn’t realize it doesn’t have those settings. Did you find another good one?
@@LanewoodStudios coz some home recording tracks, if you turn off the loudness normalisation in spotify, the track sounds loud but if you turn it on it sounds thin compared to commercial release tracks.
I bought ur22c, download steinberg plus, but i can't update basik fx suite and halion sonik seven only, couse its missing, is it normal and should i update another licence?
