Hey I’m 14 5,7 is there any good bikes to use on like roads? There isn’t a lot of off road areas around me something to drive around on the road would be cool.
I need you’re help I’ve owned my ttr230 for about 2-3 years and I’ve gotten used to it and it got boring im looking for a crf250r or yzf250f is it a good upgrade?
I've had the Ultra Bee for about a year. Their claim of 87 miles is a real stretch. Typical range is about 30 miles on road and 'up to' 40 miles off road trail riding (avg 30-35 mph).
its a tough trail and its really steep. Over revving can cause wheel spin so its a balance of clutch work with proper throttle control. We have a bunch of other videos on this same trail with different machines that do MUCH better than the these 125's in fact our 2024 KTM 150XCW has the fastest time up it so far.
Do you know anyone that rides dirt bikes in your area? I recommend renting a bike and taking a course or fiding a riding group that is willing to help you.
I can’t even choose a handguard yet, I’m still between wrap around or not. What do you think, never rode a dirtbike, I know I’ll probably drop it and don’t want to break levers, but I also don’t wanna break my wrist. 350 Xcf.
I’m 13 so obviously not an adult but I was looking into upgrading from a 85cc to 125cc as it’s too small (I’m 5’8) I don’t do motocross or enduro or any type of racing but I love riding on extreme off road tracks on and around the farm, lots of hills and my favourite type of riding, mud running! Anyways I wanted to know if you had any recommendations, the bike needs to be durable and be able to take a beaten (probably gonna fall off a lot lol) would like it too have a liquid cooled engine and preferably electric start but isn’t a must. Power isn’t really an issue, doesn’t need a lot since I’m not racing but enough to get over hills with ease. Also I won’t really be doing any single tracks.
Greetings earthlings 🖖 I stand 6foot’2inches’ and weigh about 275 pounds. And what would you say would be a fit bike for me to ride from South America to Los Angeles? This thought crossed my mind today and plan on going forward with it. Although I never ridden a dirt bike and would be seeking some sort of class to give me the fundamentals that will help me out. Thank you for your help
I'm in a pinch and need to get a new carrier this week. Is it easy to load? I'd like to push my 250 xcw on to it rather than feather throttle it on to there.
I was thinking about getting the CRF250F and upgrading the suspension for clearance and control, but that would cost a good bit of money. Would it be smarter just to get a CRF250R since it already has the better suspension? This is for trail riding in the desert. (6'3" - 210) Thanks!
Yeah the cost of upgrading the suspension in the CRF250F isn’t worth it for sure. The Honda CRF250R is a motocross bike and not all that great at single track. The CRF250RX is better but not much. I would recommend the YZ250FX, WR250, or KTM250XCF if you want to stick with 4strokes
@@dirtbikesam I am good with 2 strokes as well. I just want something that wont break the bank (I have an adventure 890R) that I can throw around on a trail and not worry about it quitting on me.
I just received mine a couple days ago and assembled it last evening. Solo!! Can I say "Heavy" for this old 68 year old arthritic Army (Ret.) Vet?!! But it is solid and done. One thing that really intrigued me and I LOVED about watching your video is when you installed the rack onto your hitch: by having it in two parts!! First you installed the assembly that actually attached to the hitch, and THEN you slid on and latched in the basket assembly that holds the bike (in my case an 85 lb. full-size eBike). Definitely makes it simple. It was one of those ..."Now why didn't I think of that; I am so glad I watched this video!!" ... moments. Thanks for a great instructional.
Hard to beat the Lifan KPX250 6 spd, EFI, 20Hp, OHC, Balance shaft engine for $2900 delivered. Quality is decent, some obvious upgrades (Adj. Levers) req'd. Always starts instantly. There are big power line right of way paths to explore here. Especially for a Second, knock around, No Drama Drop, Lend it out, Second bike. Suspension is pretty good, but not adjustable. The Kaw KLX300 of course is somewhat Better, another 10HP, but for over twice the price. A whole engine/trans "Module" replacement is only $600, and readily available.
This is honestly a video that is nice you’re spreading the word about Beta but seems a bit uninformed. Beta is from Italy. They run ZF/Sachs suspension. It’s been around for many many race edition is KYB. Not trying to be a negative but if you’re gonna put info out there… good luck
Thanks I’m sure I’m always a bit uninformed. I can always do a bit better. I own a 2020 Beta 200 RR and hope to upgrade it to the 2024 Beta 200 Race Edition
no love for the Husqvarna TE 150? I have one and I think its literally the perfect bike for beginners and even more experienced trail riders. Its full size but super light and really forgiving to ride.
I have a predator 3500 generator. It has 30 amp with large 3 prong and standard 20 amp receptacles. Is Adapting the 4 prong Stark to 30 amp 3 prong ok? Does it make any difference in charging ? I have Stark standard plug adapter as well. Just want to know if the larger 30 amp 3 prong would increase charging speed?
Thanks for the product comparison info. My only concern about all of these options is they offer no vital organ protection. Having all your tools, gear, water, phone, snacks in your bag is great but what happens when you get hammered in the chest while going over the bars unexpectedly while you are miles away from the truck? Would be helpful if you did a future review on protective vests that have best combination of protection, utility, pockets, ventilation, etc.... Thanks for all you do to help our community!!!
Great point I should have mentioned that I wear a chest protector under my vests. I don’t remember off the top of my head what model but it’s a Leatt brand
Really debating price wise a 300L with suspension mods to learn. But the other half of me is still thinking 250FX. 😂 maybe even a 150 XCW I’m 200+ lbs with gear so I need to make sure I have enough bike but not 450 levels lmao
@@dirtbikesam mostly trails as there a no tracks near me unless I drive an hour+. But I wouldn’t mind hitting up a track to see what it’s like. Most my riding is street so dirt is a new skill I have to learn.
The 300L isn’t a bad bike just a bit heavy and under powered for trail riding when compared to the 250FX or the 150XCW. We have a 24’ 150XCW along with our 250FX and both are solid options but if there is even a chance to ride motocross tracks then the 250FX is the way to go.
@@dirtbikesam out of curiosity why would the YZ be the better bet for any type of motocross riding? Would it be the suspension? I think both the 150 and the 250 make just about the same HP.
Suspension frame and engine. The YZ250FX is a close cousin to the YZ250F. The KTM150XCW is a hard enduro race bike so the suspension frame and motor are setup for trail riding and enduro not motocross. I have both of those bikes and if I could only have one bike out of those 2 I would choose the YZ250FX
The ridge trail is a great way to compare different bikes. Surprised how well the 4 strokes have fared. I think a lesser rider would struggle with some of the 4 strokes. Thanks for the reviews, you have some awesome riding country.
