Здравствуйте. Очень понравился ваш блок и видео урок. Большое спасибо.Очень жаль что для Российской аудитории нет возможности заказать вашу книгу и купить шаблоны для шитья.
I just loved your podcast today. It has so many important ways to get excellent quilts. It seems everything today is about fast and easy and then they wonder why their HST blocks are wonky. I’ve been quilting for 50 years and have always pressed my seams open which makes a perfect quilt. Hopefully some newer quilters will enjoy your helpful hints. Thank you.
I have to laugh about your border fabric...I recently saw a flannel fabric for the back of a quilt and then I struggled to find a matching color pallet for the front...I ended up buying enough fabric for 2 quilts simply because I liked some flannel....I think we all struggle to make our quilts perfect when the perfect quilts are the imperfect ones
I am a new subscriber from Michigan. I have the temple apple core, so while watching your tutorial I am cutting out of scrap fabrics the pattern. this is the first time I have made this.
I lover her templates and videos. She gave me courage to do the double wedding ring.. and to my surprise I was able to make the quilt - 2 times. The grandmothers flower garden is the next one I want to try.. .. hopefully this video helps as much as the double wedding ring video
❤ Thought your quilt was gorgeyes. I liked your video it was very helpful. Especially the tips on how to pin your pieces. I will definitely use those tips.
Been sewing for over 50 years with sewing machine.just got into hand sewing .wow, such a nice video. Learned alot from it.never to late to teach this old gal something new
2023 APR....I thought I was buying ur unique ruler set via Walmart...the seller from Hawthorne, CA used ur one-of-a kind pink ruler ad-picture as their selling picture. What I got was an opaque rough hand cut and hand filed edge ruler made with recycled pink hard plastic...It looked like the set had been made in their kitchen. The edges had a couple of "nicks" and made using a rotary cutter dangerous. This is written to warn ur viewers there are bogus sellers out there. I was a fan since u were on pbs and know your high end made products. I did make a formal complaint to Walmart about the seller, etc I hope you are doing well and thank you immensely for the many hours and dedication you gave us/me in wonderful quilting/seam/composition instructions through the decades. Pouvez vous me dire où je peux trouver ce petit objet je fais beaucoup de kilting et j’ai le doigt tellement perforé que je suis obligée de m’arrêter quelques temps pour ne plus avoir mal.Merci de me répondre svp. MERCI
This was one of my first quilt blocks as a young mother many years ago. It was my first experience with having to mark accurately to have the quilt come out correctly. I later taught a class in quilting where I used nosegay to teach the value of marking. I think the class was a success.
I like her because she is so accurate and not sloppy, down to the cutting, pressing and construction. That's how I learned to quilt and a lot of modern teachers are very slapdash which annoys me.
Personally I can't see how this method is quicker than hand sewing. I can sew these hexagons at any time, whilst travelling, whilst watching TV, whilst sitting at any time without getting the sewing machine out. It seems such a ' stop and start method' but each to their own!
Lovely block and colors A suggestion for clarity: omit “here” in the descriptions for matching and say specific words to draw the eye. Example: “the green and yellow pieces match up at this spot…” Or words to that effect
