Nah get a star at the deadline. It’s about a World Series. Dahl is a nice bench player. We need hitters. Castellanos, Rojas, marsh, marrifield, pache. Basically black holes most of the time. If a star is out there we have the farm, get one. Plus a bullpen guy
I wouldn’t say Marsh is a black hole. He’s a very smart hitter and will be fine by October. The other names are bench guys outside of Castellanos who is not going anywhere. Getting a star would be great but the Phillies likely can’t outbid other teams since their farm isn’t quite there yet and they also don’t necessarily need a star. They’re winning games even without that so if they can add a better bat in the outfield + a bench bat, the lineup will be fine. Bullpen arm would be nice.
Uhh, the Phillies would trade Starlyn Cabo for Luis Robert in a millisecond. The only guy who’d be a hard no would be Painter. But the guess is that Aidan Miller is the guy the Phils don’t want to give and the Sox would demand
