You are by far one of the most polite and accurate content creators online. You take much more erroneous backlash and critique than anyone I know, dealing politely with people I would have told to “F.O.” a long time ago.
The samurai I would have really wanted him to depict would have been Hattori Hanzo. If you want to depict samurai and ninja, you can't get much better than the samurai who led the Iga ninja.
Hey, Metatron, I was actually watching that stream live. I can understand why you took his comments that way, but Nick is a very different content creator. He purposely speaks profainly as a rebellion to restrictions on the 1st amendment. Sometimes it's too much, even for me, but he USUALLY doesn't mean anything by it.
Very good! I'm glad that you said something that will help this person if he is intelligent. Especially if he has children and he is in a position to influence young people. You may have saved his life as well.
This is the consequence of hedonism, there is no free path to pleasure, you will pay the price. Rekieta is the perfect example of this, learn constraint and understand that there is a price to pay. He wasn't just an addict, he partook in extremely hedonistic, disgusting practices. He said racist things, said horrible things to someone who was on the verge of suicide. He did evil things. Most of which were on stream, his discord and other mediums. I hope he finds help and repents for his actions, for his children's sake.
Dang, I remeber when Nick was covering Vic Micnogna. I haven't follow him since, didn't even know he got popular and now he's facing these charges. Sheesh
. Whenever children are involved with tragedy because of adults, it becomes harder for everyone. Here's hoping this isn't the case, but if it is, I will be praying for those children, then throw in a few words for him at the end.
The term 'influencer' originated in around ~2012 if my memory serves me right. RU-vidrs were becoming a thing add companies started to interact with. It was a new thing and growing a lot, but they didn't really have a way to categorize this type of media/creator so they coined the term 'influencer'. (my source is the Co-optional podcast discussing it at the time, their experience with add/sponsorship companies)
You said in your video that you read the Florida bill in question. Did it say anything about not teaching that slavery is bad or that slaves in America were not treated harshly? Did it say that Florida curriculum cannot spouse that the institution of slavery is a bad thing? Much like the bill in Florida that said“children under the age of sixth grade cannot be taught about sexuality in a classroom setting, as part of a curriculum for any school in Florida”, And was then called the “don’t gay bill” By left-wing Ideologues and media pundits, “slaves learn skills“ is the same Type of smear against Republicans, who want to teach the truth about history. If pure political propaganda, in an election year.
While I haven't kept up with him in a while, this whole thing caught me off guard. I (a man who has had struggles with severe ADHD, diagnosed at 27, for years) listened to him talk for a good stretch. Especially post-Rittenhouse, Nick Rekieta was one of those personalities who was engaging and more importantly, legitimately tried to do what he could for those he found innocent of that which they were accused. A man that knew how to make his area of expertise (law) interesting in a way that was invaluable in a world full of people who, with an average attention span that's about as volatile as my own, make snap judgements on the most superficial claims. Perhaps most importantly, he consistently knew how to address the thick-skulled wider public and make them actually WANT to pay attention to the evidence. It's because of him that many people were actually able to comprehend mitigating factors, circumstance, and avoid taking a popular narrative on face value. The man was a golden god during Rittenhouse and, if you watch his pre-addiction videos it becomes that much more jarring that he's found himself in this situation. He was exactly NOT the guy one would expect this from, nor would he tolerate this kind of stupidity from himself. All I can say, is that if he manages to find the light at the end of the tunnel (gods willing) he will be the first to do a reaction stream of his decline into "Lolcow"-dom and mercilessly ridicule his own idiotic behavior.
"Why is Metatron saying he's NOT a racist?" Rekeita comes from Minnesota, a part of the USA where accusations of white people being racist are very prevalent. Such rhetoric is literally a century old. Its classic defense is "I'm not racist". To counter that, leftists have come up with a counter: "If you have to SAY 'I'm not racist', that means you ARE racist". Because of this, there are a few better counters, whether you're emphasizing logic or rhetoric. This cultural context might not exist where you are in Italy.

Evidence? You mean that which has been collected and provided by corrupted cops? They found a spent shell casing of a caliber which Nick doesn't own any firearms of that caliber. Nick raise people awareness against re tards cop like that for years, he also has spoken against the judge that was assigned to both his case. This isn't rocket science. They waited a full week after being "told" of some child issues... They clearly don't care about the children. They're out for blood, they're all in to get Nick. You pretend to be fair and follow the evidence. What if that evidence was corrupted from the start?

I was a navy party animal until I had kids. Once my first was born I stopped drinking at home because you can't respond to the cries of "Daddy help!" when you're drunk or hung over. Parental responsibility is a big deal.
I was never an alcoholic per se, but I definitely drank a lot. I haven't drank in more than 2 years and my life is much better for it. People can recover, don't be overly judgemental.
I agree with you, but if someone who is drunk drives his kids around in that state I will judge very much sir and so should you. So it’s a matter of nuance and situational behaviour.
@@metatronyt that's totally fair. Driving drunk with kids in the car isn't acceptable whatsoever. I was speaking a bit more generally about being judgmental, and not necessarily directed at you.
I just hope this arrest proves to be an effective "wake up call" for Nick & his wife to get the help they OBV need to (most importantly) save their kids & themselves frm further misery which is inevitable on the path they've been on🙏
Eh you are a cool dude with good principles. All that is important is what your loved ones think about you. Hopefully they get help and take care of their children.
I wouldn't justify any child neglect in the court of public opinion is judging someone's personal situation from afar. Not only that the number of parents and other people that go out to eat have a few beers, I have a few glasses of wine and drive with their kids home is disgusting. So to judge one person just shows how hypocritical the world is. I don't drink so I have no excuses for anyone who does it. I just see the hypocrisy and people trying to kick this man while he's down. Especially in the comments. And trying to drag him and make him the biggest villain in the world when he's trying to pick up the pieces. The only people that man is accountable to is his family. And the internet and streaming is his job. So for him to get back online doing his job is not necessarily a bad thing. I say if you're going to emulate anything A man does Maybe go to law school. He's not a complete waste of a human like a lot of people are. So many people sit on video games and ignore their children. Is that any worse than someone struggling with addiction and then getting help? It just blows my mind how people love to see when someone fails and rub their face in it when they owe people on the Internet nothing. Thanks for having a balanced perspective on it though. At least you're not like his fair weather friends that used him for his help in growing their channels and then kicked him in the face when he was down

I am CONSTANTLY arguing with people on both sides of the political divide that “white” isn’t a race or a culture or an ethnicity, it’s just an adjective. Just like Africa was made up of hundreds of distinct cultures that just happened to have similar skin color, so too with Europe. So it’s not just one side, one group, or one outlook that buys into this shit. The idea of a monolithic “white race” seems unfortunately to be the only thing the furthest right and furthest left agree on. I place the blame on my country, honestly. I’m not aware of any country other than the US that felt the need to write laws about who was and was not sufficiently white. The damn Fins weren’t considered “white” in the US until the early 1900s, and if those folks were any whiter they’d be translucent.
Alot of people in the discussion are saying "there's no way the government got anything wrong despite inconsistencies" or "there's no way anyone in the government is conspiring against anyone" when they were either to incompetent to not leak or acting maliciously enough to leak otherwise sealed documents Just food for thought
