So glad I found this series. You are doing such an awesome job. Can't believe the amount of time and dedication it takes to take on a project like this. I did the same thing to mine years back having bought it used and needing some TLC. Its about time for another light restore on mine. Would you mind sharing where you got the front lips. I know AC Schnitzer made them before but haven't been able to find them. Thanks in advance
I would love to see yours!! I got the front lip from a man by the name of Cemal Akcal. His instagram is @tripfcr. He’s a guy in Turkey who makes pretty quality good replicas / reproduction parts for the M Coupes. Paying him might be a little sketchy, but I, and many others, can vouch for him!
Dude! I just watched all of your project videos. Way to go!!! Such a satisfaction listening to young man not saying word “like” every 2 seconds😂. And thank you for not playing ghetto music on the background. You give me confidence to start working on my s*it box. Be safe;)
its the first time I saw a RU-vid Project on a BMW Z3. You did A good job man I just watched 16 videos in 3 days. Loved that serie of videos. Very good quality and you help me a lot I wanna wrap my car in maybe 1 year so I start to look on RU-vid to get some information, you saved me a lot of time ! very cool dude keep it up !
Thank you!! It takes time. Once you get the general idea of where you want to head and figure out the route best suited for your situation, just FULL SEND IT BROTHER. I followed quite a few other people who had the same car as me for inspiration and I eventually just decided to full send it once I figured out what I wanted!
Good recap! Inozetek has been well known to be difficult to apply and apply well. I have it on one of my cars done by an experienced shop and it's a pretty darn good result but after some time, similar to you, the film wants to come up from tucked areas because it just wants to be flat. The microscratching on it drives me a bit nuts too... At the end of the day good learning experiences and just have fun with things!
Yessir!! I still believe it was due to me not post heating properly or enough on those crevices where I tucked the material into. In theory, it should lose its memory if I were to post heat it to a high enough temperature without burning the material, but I do agree with the micro scratching! haha
@@thoas_ yeah it certainly seems to have a better memory than I do by a long shot even when set ablaze...but like most people really like the outcome and generally think its painted! Good enough.
That's a great question, I don't recall if it was there when I got the car, but when I tried to check to see if I can clear it, there were like 3 other codes that was causing the airbag light to come on, so I'd need to sort out all those codes in the future LOL
A kind request i hope to be fulfilled! Pls post a video of the complete build so I can get some inspiration to build mine! Hope you will post one soon.
What kind of wheels are those? I wrapped my roadster and it looked good in the garage but once it sat in the sun the wrap started to peel and lift in some areas. Hopefully that primer underneath is holding up.
The wheels are BBS LM, brushed clear faces, polished lips, with a double step lip! Front: 18x9 +31 (2.0" Outer Lip) [LM071] (245/35/18) Rear: 18x11 +11 (4.0" Outer Lip) [LM068] (295/30/18) So far the wrap is holding up quite well, it’s important to post heat it after you’re done to make sure it loses it memory, or to check if it’s laid on well enough that it’ll stay on as time goes on. I’m planning on making a video talking about my honest review of the build, and what I’ve learned / what I did wrong, over this upcoming weekend!
Well executed coup project. This video has pushed me to begin looking for a m coupe of my own. That was a cinematic moment when you put the first wheel on the coupe. Can't wait to see more videos.great job.
Thank you!! I got my rear mid wing from AIR: americaninternationalracing.com/product/bmw-z3-coupe-rear-spoiler/ I got the front lips from Cemal: facebook.com/cemal.akcal Hope this helps! Looking forward to seeing the project :)
I'm glad you did this series all the way through on a new channel, I've been wanting to start filming my e36 rebuild but I don't have a following so I've been pushing it off. But I think I'm going to start! I love this car btw!!
You should!! The main purpose of this series was for myself to re-watch everything once I made it to the end. Which is my plan this upcoming weekend, to crack open a cold one and watch how things progressed haha Also, thank you!! Please lmk if you do decide to start it, hoping to see it happen brother!
@@thoas_ that's awesome man I'm glad to hear that! its been a fun journey to watch for sure! cant wait to see whats up next! I definitely will! I just got to pick up my camera again and start filming!
I must say, I think your content is top notch. The humor, editing, filming etc, is defo a cut above the rest. It certainly deserves a lot more in terms of engagement. All I can say is, keep on. You'll reap the fruits of your labour.
