Now some woomera have a knob of resin or gum at the end with a chip of flint to perform cutting and scraping chores like an adze., and the woomera can be used to carry water (very little and not far) You could also use it to start your fire on it, mix paint on it and use it as a club in battle and as a shield. Yours is really beautiful. Truly a multi purpose tool !

@@garvit6703 ye, you are correct! thankfully for me, im not all that worried if people wanna watch; im not making videos to become rich, i just think its fun and to prove to people that the hawk is a capable bike (and document the trip, of course =) ) I filmed the whole trip, and i do have more talking and interaction later on once more interesting places and events started popping up (though i havent edited the 18+ hours of footage for those parts yet ^^;) but it can be kinda hard since my mic was limited to the gopro on the front of my helmet, making talking at speeds over 40 virtually worthless (an issue i should have foresaw, but didnt x.x) that means most of my talking is either at slow speeds (not common in transit) or when i reach an interesting place and get off the bike.

Fascinating to see so many smaller towns and villages. An honest slice of America. Little communities where the people appear to take civic pride. Good timing on that one gas stop. Did you make those cycling boots ? I noticed them as you got back on your bike. Look super flexible and comfortable but also protective for riding that gravely road. Enjoying so far !
@frogbear02
@frogbear02 Месяц назад
exactly! most of them were at least fairly pretty; not many were run down or ugly or anything! Best part is too, that the scenery only gets better from here! i did not make these boots, they are the oseberg boots by grimfrost. !As much as i love going barefoot, having some form of foot protection is good on motorcycles, and also i need them to go into stores and stuff, so naturally wearing them makes sense for transport when the space is so limited XD. they are super flexible though! fairly thick oil tanned leather thats very pliable, so its not so much like wearing shoes as it is throwing an extra layer of skin over yourown =).

The major flaw in the KaBar is the tiny pin that goes thru the pommel and tang joining them to gather. It is a weak point. if you use the pommel as hammer the pin or the tang on either side of the pin will break, pommel falls off followed by the handle. This happened to two that I had and one a friend had. The cold steels fully rubberized handle tells you right away I'm just a knife handle!
@frogbear02
@frogbear02 Месяц назад
yeah for sure! The kabar is great because you CAN use it like a hammer.. but given its not supposed to be used as one, technically speaking, it just opens the door to people breaking it. Question is, do you prefer the option to use it like a hammer and risk breaking it, or lacking the option to use it like a hammer entirely and not risk breaking it?

You know alot about movie guns. What was the revolver John Wayne used in his movies. It seems the same one in Rio Lobo, El Dorado, And Shootist? Are they same weapons, my friend said Robert Conrad use the same in Wild Wild West.
@frogbear02
@frogbear02 6 месяцев назад
Hey there! John Wayne generally used an 1873 Colt Single action army, and I believe it was his go to gun in all three of those movies, and indeed Robert Conrad also used an 1873 Colt SAA (as well as an 1866 derringer) in Wild Wild West. John Wayne is well known for being particularly fond of using aged elephant ivory grips, which have a dark yellow colour to them =) hope i helped!

@frogbear02
@frogbear02 7 месяцев назад
yup! ive always said that if you live your life in a suit of armour, even the wind will hurt when you take it off. handling different conditions all comes down to letting your body grow with the conditions and adapt accordingly! as for thicker soles, ive found that usually in winter my soles get less hard like they are in summer, so good eye! i presume the reason is is that since all i walk on in winter is snow, which is soft unlike the stones and sticks of summer, the thick and hard pad of summer just isnt needed in winter.it could also be from being in contact with so much water for so long (as some snow does melt on my foot) it seeps in and softens the skin a bit? either way, its super cool to learn im not the only one that walks in snow barefoot!
