Before getting Dinwiddie I would agree, but now with Dinwiddie back on the Mavs I don’t know. Hartenstein and Caruso were great signings but to me Grimes is Caruso for the Mavs, and Dinwiddie is a walking bucket. Had the Mavs had Dinwiddie, OKC would’ve lost in 5. Now with him back and adding Klay,Grimes and Naji? Man I don’t know. It’s going to be fun for sure. Perhaps neither team will get the 1 seed, because I won’t be shocked if Memphis gets it with Morant back.
The lack of playoff wins is due to two things: Coaching failures and injuries/lack of depth The front office and coaching staff bear more of the blame than anything else, in my opinion.
Irving GEEEEET OOOOOUT please, this guy sucks, guess wont happen, so at least hammmer in his head that he is and ever been a 2nd option, after B8ston series not more as minimum salary
@@a.puerto5667 lay-up line maxi misalot is the worst scrub he can't be moved without using a first so no can't move him, but he should never see the court ever
@@richardcase9165 I’ll be surprised if Kidd doesn’t use him if he’s healthy, in the season and in the playoffs. He’s not a liability on defense and can spread the court for us and play Center in small ball lineups. If they trade him, I won’t be mad, but I also wouldn’t trade him. He’s not Powell bad out there. I rather keep Kleber.
All we keep hearing is Dak had ALL THE LEVERAGE since the season ended. EVERYONE and there mom said Cowboys had no choice but to extend him before FA. Did that ever happen?? NOOOO. Here we are about to start training camp and he STILL doesn’t have a deal done. So what leverage does he exactly have that he’s still not sign??? Even tho we can’t trade him. Dallas doesn’t ever trade anyway and when they do they get the shitty deal out of it anyway, so if there only leverage is they can’t trade him who cares. They wouldn’t have traded him anyway even if they could have.
Dak has already been paid, will make 55 or so this year regardless, can be an unrestricted free agent after this season and obtain probably 70 million a year, and the cowboys will be left with NOTHING. if you can’t see this as being more leverage than any player has ever had, then you don’t understand the NFL business at all.
Peyton Manning is considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. As great aas he was during the season, the great Peyton Manning didn't make it to the Superbowl until his 9th year...and won it that same year! In all seriousness, Dak needs to hire a different Sports Psychologist to help him break through mentally...it is clearly a mental issue/block! You don't suddenly forget how to play the X's and O's of football in the playoffs.
Peyton Manning should only be used as an example in this case with this team of him becoming a free agent and winning a Super Bowl with the team he signed with. Which means the cowboys shouldn’t be afraid of moving on. Brady was same case. Stafford was had via trade. Let. Him. Walk.
With all the all pros he done had each yr since he been in the league is second to the 49ers and he can't reach a Superbowl and if you pay he that you are going to lose so many players and we will be less of a team and you think he can win, just pure stupidity
@@treydog60 the led the NFL with 9 all pros and lost against green Bay that probably had zero and if everyone that loves Dak Prescott and think he can get it done with less cause if you give him 60 million we want be making the playoffs
No other team is giving a 30 year 8 year vet that hasn’t been to a championship game a big contract. Dak is in Kirk cousin market not Goff. Let another team pay him. Cowboys standard is #12 and #8 dak nit even #11
@eldub422 Like Herbert 26 ZERO playoff wins, losing record 30-32 52mil. Lawrence 24 1 playoff win losing record 20-30 You boys too emotional to understand players market value.
@@AMINOMMA Like any fan I want my team the Mavericks to win the championship. When they fail it might seem like I'm angry but just frustrated & want them to be better.
If Spencer had signed back with us at the trade deadline last year, do u think his offense pushes us past Boston, or do u think we still would have lost even with SD?
I, personally they would’ve beaten LAC in 5, OKC in 5, swept Minn and the Boston series I think he could have helped win at least 1 game. And that game would be game 3. And you never know, could have won game 2. I still don’t know if the Mavs would’ve won the Finals though because Kyrie played so bad in Boston.
14:46 Naji has a smirk in his face when klay says “the way this world class organization treats their players” that was most definitely shady af and he must’ve been talking to his new teammates
Do you know who we have at C now? And we have 4s that can step in as a 5 if needed WELL BEFORE we would use DP. I still think he has a place on the team.
The mavs improved that starting 5 while also improving the bench. The mavs are even deeper this year, and the may look slightly different with less athleticism minus DJJ, but not by much. Both grimes and Naji are athletic and can fly and the bith shoot better. I think grimes can play equal defense to DJJ and naji will be more in the pj role with ability to switch to the guards
How do you put the nuggets over this mavs team? If we still had DJJ the we’d be leaps and bounds better, but we are definitely still better than the nuggets without him. The healthy mavs last year beat the nuggets and the nuggets have only gotten worse, while the mavs have gotten better. They lost offense and defense , where as we improved every side of the ball. Health is gonna put us close to 60 wins this year. I’m thinking around 55
Nuggets have no bench and losing Pope will be huge. OKC is a problem, but with Mavs adding Klay and Dinwiddie, i am not worried about them. In part because they also added Grimes and Naji without losing someone like Hardy and Exum for depth
Will the Lakers have to pay child support since Spencer is moving back in with mom? Jokes aside, I’m excited Spencer is coming back to Dallas. This team is pretty damn deep. I expect Kyrie, Klay, Lively and Kleber to miss 15+ games each, so it’s great to have such depth. I expect Dinwiddie to earn a significant role coming off the bench and he’ll likely start some games when Kyrie is injured. I expect his shooting efficiency to get a positive bump playing off of Luka, Kyrie and Klay. Welcome back, Spencer!
Fk Hardy’s development. He has to earn it. Right now he isn’t better than 31 year old Dinwiddie. Sadly Hardy and Prosper need to go to other teams like Green to become better. Mavs don’t have time to wait for them to develop. Mavs are in win now mode. Partly because Kyrie isn’t young, Luka could leave, and because Klay is up there in age.
He needs to earn those minutes. He’ll get them in the season, in the playoffs I doubt it if Dinwiddie,Grimes and Naji are balling the way we hope they will.
Kev, leave that got-damn volume where it is! You’re doing an exceptional job. Awesome Microphone and I would like to know who the manufacturer is and the version to be quite candid. We have volume knobs on the other side to adjust accordingly.
Mavs just need some good continuity. Alot of people are going to be up in arms if we don't go to the finals this upcoming season, but will fail to recognise we're a genuine threat for a championship for years to come, maybe even multiple championships.
can't play together? said who? they were good in nets until he got he got injured. then harden came in, the reason nets didn't resign spencer in fa. in mavs, you need to give something back for nets to trade kyrie and nets got dfs and spencer. kyrie is definitely glad to have another pg in the roster to help to make their job easier. If anything else, it's hardy and exum who will not like this because spencer's minutes will be coming from them and not kyrie/luka.
He plays D when he has to. He blocked Dame in a 2pt attempt to try to win the game last season for the Lakers. And the Mavs needed another creator or someone who can get their own shot. We saw that in the playoffs that the Mavs just had Luka and Kyrie to get their own shot.
