It's easier to install on the 1958 because you don't have to remove the old rails or rack. You just pull off six little covers from the ditch trim and you'll see the mounting holes.
Why did I remove the factory 10mm bolts out of the rail when that hole is not used for anything?! Plus my short M8 doesn't fit thru the bracket hole .. is this typical?
Can't tell, but is the last crossbar in the rear installed verticle or horizontal like the other crossbars? It looks verticle, and if so, any wind noise?
Was there any Locktite on the factory roof rail bolts when you removed them? It has been reported that there is Locktite and not heating to loosen could spin the clip that the bolts screw into. Making it extremely difficult to retighten with new rack.
To each their own but you would greatly benefit from upgrading the suspension and getting rid of the horrible factory Toyota shocks. Plenty of people break those weak shocks from mild off roading. Its worth going to a 2.5 coilover or similar if its in your budget.
How are we suppose to pre-install the cross bars on a rooftop tent than lower the tent in place with ta bend that you designed?? Thats what I am doing with my prinsu rack on my 4runner…. How are we gonna install an RTT with that design?
I love the low profile design of this and lets face it, its looks real good on this Nissan Frontier. Ive been eyeballing this hard and hunting down a roof top tent for it too. Need it to stay low profile enough so i can pull the truck into my garage with the tent on it. Do you guys make side panels to strap/lock my gear onto that connect the front and rear bar together along the sides? Would like to strap a water and fuel cannister onto the sides and other misc stuff.
I want this roof rack for my access cab …I know I’m being irrational but the act of drilling holes in my roof is terrifying lol. That’s the only thing holding me up from doing this

The side rails now have a 90 degree bend on top for added strength and mounting options, it's also double plated so it has an inner and outer side rail for more strength. The crossbars are a new design, different than other modular racks with a 1x2 extrusion crossbar, it is also significantly stronger because of its design. The overall look is more aggressive and allows for more customization. But it is based off the Original Prinsu Rack so it's still made of all aluminum, it's sleek, modular, and light weight.
dont plan on using your sunroof with this rack. and if you have the radio antenna fin in the back, you will be forced to turn the last crossbar so the top portion is facing the rear of the vehicle. as others have said, trash instructions and website details (but a very well built rack).
