I live in Delaware and have so for over 60 years. I have an elderly mother who lives on her own and if I could get her to leave I would be gone tomorrow. $1400 in this state will only get you a studio apartment. There's not much I like about this state. Okay, taxes are low, but prices on everyday items such as food and clothing are not. We have beaches (not a fan) but not really anything you could call mountains. Delaware is on a level plain, with the lowest mean elevation of any state in the nation.
I disagree w/the list. Oklahoma and especially Alabama don't offer much access and help to its ppl. Now Illinois I'll agree with. They're better than most states when it comes to help w/Healthcare.
It's hard living in much of CA, for the reasons described. Got a ton of crazy people here, but many nice people. Have never heard anything good about NJ. Upstate NY is good, have spent time there. AL and AR are also nice, spent time in both places. Two other unfriendly states - MD and MA, from personal experience.

This channel is very biased and talking rubbish when come to Japan. Language barrier and work culture may be quite daunting in Japan for many foreigners but Japan toilet facilities and cleanliness are at the top of the world cities. Japan invented the best multi-function warm toilet seats for your information. Squat toilets are a rarity in Japan . If there are usually they are kept in clean condition. Unlike China, India and many South East Asian countries their squat toilets are usually in filthy conditions. I visited China, India, Japan and many South East Asia countries quite recently so I know the differences in their toilet hygiene.
