For anime suggestions to go concurrently with AoT and Demons Slayer, I'd recommend a lighter watch like an action comedy, to lighten up the heaviness and despair of AoT. And among action comedies, imo the best one would be One Punch Man. It also has some great waifus (Google it if you don't know what it means, lol) 😂
Rhaena could have gotten some more scenes with the dragon, claimed it, rode it etc, instead of stumbling around the whole episode; there also could have been a training scene/sequence with the new dragon riders. they just dropped the ball this episode. The face you saw in the tree was a cameo of George R.R. Martin. They did a behind the scenes and modeled it after him. He even came to the set to see it.
13:15 I'm gonna say this is 1st and maybe comment again later. But, I kinda liked that all 3 of you were totally invested in the story and was being completely silent for more than 1 minute (I counted, lol) when Eren was thinking about how he got in that situation and what he should do/answer. 😅😂
It's fine to miss a few things. Some people r just too critical with stuff. It's good that you're all discussing things properly, and take the time to really read the mid-episode info. Btw, getting 10k likes in a single video is too high a hurdle for your channel at the moment. That's why dude's so quick to agreeing. 20k views is feasible though. It's already at 19k now.
They didn't have enough budget for the a battle in this season. Warner Brothers cut 2 episodes out, it should have been 10 episodes. And the dragons and battles are so high budget. They'll start filming next year, it will last like 6 months - the rest of the time it's just CGI work to make the dragons and battles as real as possible. And probably next season will be 8 episodes too. This show was supposed to be 4 seasons with 10 episodes each. With this budget cut, this makes me wonder if we will have a 5th season.
Both sides experienced what this war would entail if they couldn’t reach an agreement back in episode 4, with Rook’s Rest. And both sides realized it wasn’t a good ending for either of them. Dragons are essentially nuclear weapons
The dragon at the end is Tessarion - Daeron Targaryen's dragon. The army crossing the bridge was the Northern army led by the Starks (not Daemon's army).
That was not Sunfyre in the end. That was Daeron, Allicent's other son, with his dragon. Tyland Lannister and Jason Lannister are twins. Tyland is a member of the small council and was the one on the ship with Lohar. Jason Lannister was the one you saw riding the horse and marching from the Golden Tooth with the live lion. They really out here and teased us with Sheepstealer when they could've made Rhaena claim him in this episode.
Yeah so they wrote 10 episodes and a month before filming started, HBO told the show that they were getting 8 instead so I can’t even blame the show for having a slow finale
I really felt the Warner Brothers budget cuts with this because in a 10 episode season this would be a great episode 8. But whatever, i get that this costs a fortune to film and im not so cranky about it as some people. It'll be back in 2 years and i've got no plans on dying in that time.
With this anime you guys will experience all the emotions. So please don't read too many comments. Because there are many people writing about the characters and the core of the story before you think deeply about it. It's most fun to find the answers to your own questions on your own, instead of trying to understand or be convinced by someone else's explanations.
Personally, i know I'll get flack for it but i love My Hero Academia. Very different from the others being suggested. MHA is more like Marvel X-Men in college fighting grown mutant villains in Japan. I like it because it discusses the prejudices built into all societies to make them function but those prejudices also guarantee that certain groups or types of people will always suffer and is that ok or should the entire system change. Also each character (heroes and villains) has their own story arch or things they must overcome or learn to cope with--family issues, money issues, social disabilities, mental disorders, physical disabilities, etc. It's a lot more light hearted with more comedic characters than AoT but it has A LOT of action. Yes the villains monologue but what they say makes you stop and think, actually, he/she/they have a point though.
Just a few notes here: 1. Eren turning into a titan was unprecedented*. Nobody knew how or why he could do it. This "plan" was put into motion immediately after the main trio almost died by canon fire due to the justified mistrust of anything titan-like. Pixies lied to his soldiers about him being an "experiment" at this time just so his plan was greenlit. This will be explored a bit more ahead but nothing regarding this situation would make a sane person go "yeah, let's trust Eren with ANYTHING". Titans eat people, that's all everyone was sure about. 2. Eren's limbo is fascinating because it was not a void. It was not unconsciousness either. It was, well, a happy, quiet moment of his childhood. At the time it made me wonder if all other titans were trapped in this limbo too while their bodied hunted mindlessly for people, but [SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS]. It's just curious to think about. 3. To be continued. * if you know, you know
I believe they rushed him into this mission because they are thinking this attack is like the previous attack where the colossal titan makes a hole, lets in a bunch of titans then the armoured titan appears and opens the inner wall. A lot of it is done in desperation because if they lost another wall, that would be it for them. So they did not wait to train him but used the opportunity to try to seal the hole now so even if the armoured titan comes, there is not an endless influx of titans from outside. When you finish attack on titan if you consider yourself mature enough (clunky words i dont really know how else to say it) vinland saga is in my opinion the greatest anime within the last decade, its very unlike regular anime (which can often be what turns off regular anime watchers i think) it doesnt feel like youre watching anime but instead a mature character focused masterpiece
Friendly reminder that opening and endings are meant to be seen. There is a dumb cult of ignorant types saying that they are spoilers. They don't understand what foreshadowing is. Why the hell would a show, "spoil" itself at the start and beginning of every single episode it airs? The dumb cult, isn't able to think in retrospective and they are running reaction channels with their ignorance. Please, watch the show like how everyone else did when it first came out. We all watched them, through and through, sometimes multiple times just to see all the images, and still understood nothing until the show SHOWS it. The manga artist and author, Isayama Hajime, looked over the opening and endings and made sure that we saw and heard exactly everything we are meant to, AS IT COMES. If you guys do a "all in one" opening and endings without seem them in the first place... you missed a whole 1/3rd of the show.
Uh no? some openings and endings clearly arent spoilery and are good to analyze but then there things like the season 4 part 2 opening which literally just spoils the entire season, and less egregiously theres season 3 part 2 which if you analyze closely enough youll get spoiled for the best parts of the series. And don't lump everyone in with you, I certainly didnt watch the openings on my first time watching exactly because with other shows I have gotten massive spoilers, and if you understood NOTHING after WATCHING THROUGH OPENINGS AND ENDINGS MULTIPLE TIMES then you are not qualified enough in media analysis to be making this comment Good foreshadowing hinting and things you can theory craft out of is something like s2 ending whereas something like season 4 part 2 IS NOT FORESHADOWING, IT IS ACTIVELY, PLAINLY SHOWING EVENTS THAT WILL HAPPEN IN THIS SEASON All in all it is not missing a whole 3rd of the show that is a stupid thing to say, the reason the show spoils itself within its openings is because they try to hint and foreshadow towards it and always fail, something like the s2 ending is cryptic and mysterious and contains things beyond our knowledge which is why its good to analyze, the openings are crafted with things we understand, situations that make sense, as such any speck of "foreshadowing" they try put in it ends up being utterly obvious as we can already infer all the pieces surrounding this one
... this is a joke, right? Surely no one invests so much of their identity into anime openings that they think people who disagree with them on the topic are a cult? Right?
keep up the AOT. Not that you shouldn't watch Demon Slayer, but I know it has to be a lot of work to edit these episodes. I know I don't speak for everyone, but getting 3 episodes of AOT a week versus 2 and 1 Demon Slayer (just a hypothetical); I'd take the 3 AOT and then Demon Slayer once you're all done with AOT. Lastly, dont want My Hero Academia; if you're iffy on Anime, you aren't going to like it. Try Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood or if you want to shake it up, try Violet Evergarden. It's more of an emotional experience.
why didnt they do a trial run, because people are literally dying as the episode is going by, theyre expecting the armored titan to show up, they dont know if the collosal titan is done, up until like 10 minutes ago (their time) they didnt even know eren could turn into a titan, or how it works or if he could do it again or if he did do it again whether the plan would go well. point is...theres no time to think.
I wouldn't recommend My hero academia personally, rather maybe try Vinland Saga. It's a great show and the creators of AOT and VS support each other's work.
just a reminder, im ngl the pacing is sometimes weird to figure out, sometimes years pass sometimes half the anime takes place within a couple hours to a couple days. and they do make you aware of the transition its just easy to miss if you arent actively piecing together the story. like here, for the past 4 or so episodes have taken place within hours. and season 2 takes place mostly over a couple days as well 😀
