I'm moving here in January because it's cheaper than Miami. I still plan on moving to Miami within 6-9 months, but this seems perfect right now for the affordability factor. It's probably good that I won't have as many distractions either & can focus on work.
Good video I just got back from Kona, the only thing I thought was outrageous is the price of parking downtown. $12 per hour thats just nuts. I refused to be robbed this way so made sure any restaurant I visited had free parking but even some of those lots that claimed free parking had those pay signs all over the lot. Even the locals are not happy with this and the city knows its bad policy. However its privately owned lots milking the tourists and fining them heavily if their time has gone over what the time they paid for. I think everyone needs to know about this.
Bass, crappie, catfish variety of panfish and trout. They annually hold a trout derby. Also have a kids day derby and a senior derby. The trails are also great for family activities.

Lived in PC my whole life and think its very overrated, especially with the party scene gone after multiple hurricanes destroying clubs, the cost of living is through the roof even on the east side of the bridge outside of PCB city limits, infrastructure is being overwhelmed mainly in the form of traffic, and their really aint any high paying jobs outside of medical field and real estate. Lacks the sustainability of a bigger city and is mainly a place to visit or retire to. I feel like their are other coastal communities with more to offer like mobile or pensacola just up the road.
I’ve lived here for 15 years. I pretty much grew up here, it’s mostly safe and good distance from most things. Bad part is the city is pretty boring itself but good for families. The public schools have some good options but do your research.
As a non-white young professional, Rockwall has a lot of racism. Sorry, I would not recommend it if you're not white. I lived there for three years in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Rockwall and was treated poorly on multiple occasions. I've been all over DFW for 30 years, and hand down, Rockwall had the most racism I've ever seen. Some locals were friendly and kind, but many were downright cruel. It’s a charming city, but not for all.

I lived in that area for almost 10 years and the things I didn’t like were expensive electric, terrible traffic that got worse since 2007, lack of trails and some of the younger women had very low standards for their men (mostly red necks). But there were great things too.

Closest major hospitals would be Plano Presbyterian or Baylor Medical Center in McKinney off 380 Public transport - dart train starts in Plano, one city south of Allen about 10 min away Nearest big city - depends on what you consider a big city but Plano is pretty big, then Dallas is about 30-40 min south of Allen
There are a few places in your video that were either missing context or bafflingly inaccurate. I think you should probably add some corrections and context in the description. I've lived in Kona for almost 3 years and if I didn't know better, I'd come away from watching this video believing all the roads are slow, and many places outside Kona are in it, and that we've had lava related issues effecting this city. To be clear, all of Melissa ISD's schools from K-12 may have 5,700 students enrolled, but Melissa High School, who gets the most use out of this stadium, has 1,763 students.

We have had atleast 3 shark attacks in the area this past summer & several more dying from people not paying attention to the flag system on the beach. Financially it was the worst decision we ever made moving here. We are absolutely drowning in debt. Jobs don’t pay to afford the cost of living which rises every year as a renter, not to mention that we all pay more fees to eat out. We are saving to get out. It’s a trap.
@@TexasHomesByMike absolutely, only issue is some of the entertainment companies don't want transit because they make bucks on parking. Now if we could convince them to allow the TRE to run BRT or even light rail to it, I'm actually certain that will cover the profits of parking by allowing more people to use the parks without being blocked by it from parking.
